works great
Ive only ever used the old school wood block type. This one is reversible, and can be used without the "holder" piece for real small work areas.Works great, just wish it could take a bigger bite.

Useful little tool
Worked great to remove some pretty bad runs in urethane clearcoat.

Paint run file
Great tool! After correcting paint runs it still needs to be finished off with 220 grit sand paper but much easier to use than a scraper.

Essential tool
I was worried about using such an aggressive tool to correct some paint runs. It works very well but you do need to be careful as it is very powerful. A great addition to the tool kit.

Decent on flat surfaces.
It could be that I’m new to using this type of tool but it did ok on flat surfaces but with the slightest curve and it would scratch. I had to sand a ton on this hood and the car as a whole either way so this project didn’t provide much help for me.

Expensive but nice
This thing is really, really expensive for what it is. I'm not even sure why I bought this but I'm glad I did. I used it to cut some nibs after fixing a series of tiny paint chips on my cart and this thing worked a treat. It is small but heavy just enough to let it glide over and flush the excess without any pressure whatsoever. Saved me a lot of excessive wet sanding. Just be really, really gentle with it. Appears well made, so I guess good things cost quite a bit.

Be careful
I bought this after watching a YouTube video about paint chip repair. I followed each step except in the video. It did not show this little tool scratching the surrounding paint… it’s flat so unless your surface is perfectly flat with no contours, you need to be careful! Now I am buffing the area with a deep scratch polish trying to remove them… I thought it was minor but it is not and I’m doing my best to get the paint back to normal. It’s not the tools fault it’s my understanding and not being experienced, but still feel I could help someone not make the same mistake.

Used it once so far so good
Ive had to touch up my Hummer EV due to some rock chips… I used this after clear coat. Worked well and did not scratch. My paint around the chip
