Great Shaver
This is my third Norelco shaver spanning over 15 years. Each shaver has performed well, feeling solid, easy to hold while shaving, easy to clean, and with heads that are easy to change. This shaver seems to continue that feeling for me and I expect several years of service from it. The five-star rating is for the shaver only. I am however disappointed in the accessories that are NOT included. I fondly remember that my first Norelco shaver included a charger, cleaning brushes, stand, and a hard-body travel case. This new shaver included only a soft case and a charging cord without the necessary wall plug, which I had to purchase separately. I also paid extra to get a stand. My, how times and businesses have changed!

Great, smooth shave!
What a fast and smooth cut! I've had both wet or dry foil shavers and this 3 blade rotary and there's no comparison. The foil cutter took twice as long to get about 80% of the way to what this Norelco 3900 did. Quiet, efficient and water proof so clean-up is quick and easy. I've never had an electric shaver that cost hundreds of dollars, but I can't imagine it doing any better a job than this one for around $80. For me, the 3-head rotary type shaver is hands down superior to the blade type foil shaver.

It’s durable and works as intended.
I have had this product for three years. It is reliable, works in the water, and has a long battery life. I initially bought this product because I could no longer shave with a razor and shaving cream due to sensitive skin. The electric razor leaves my skin smooth without having to use shaving cream. Although, you can use shaving cream with product for a closer shave. It has not rusted and I have purchased new blades for it at the two year mark as directed by the manufacture.Cons: I wish the the shave was slightly closer, which it can be when used with shaving cream. I use it as dry shave. Feels a little cheap. The trimmer also does not cut hair as close to the skin as I’d like, it’s okay though.Pros: Uses the same blades as more expensive models, saves time in the morning, it is durable and will last. Leaves your face free of razor irritation or pimples, replacement blades are easy to find with multiple manufacturers, replace blades every 2 years as directed.

Quality, fun to use shaver
I've seen this style of shaver in movies and such while growing up. You know, the guy shaving in the car while stuck in traffic late to work? What a time saver I thought. But I always went with some form of safety razor for precision and closeness. After 30 years or so of seeing rotary shavers in ads, movies etc, and excellent results with other Philips Norelco products, like the vacuum beard trimmers they used to make. I figured the tech on the rotary razor is super refined by this point and wanted to try one. Even if it sucked, I knew I could use it at least on occasion to get a head's start if I was in a rush.I got the 3600 because when I went to the brand website, it was one of this year 2024's releases. And I knew I wanted the latest engineering greatness. Also this one came with a pouch, which is nice. If you look at all of their shavers that look like this, there's not a whole lot of difference other than 5D vs 4D heads, the product color, and whether or not it comes with a pouch, stand, or both. Look closely, some of them the only difference from one to another is that for $20 more you get a charging stand.Anyway, I got this one because it's a newer release, comes with a pouch, and I figure 5D means slightly more efficient or faster shaving. I haven't compared but I wouldn't think twice about any of their other shavers. I would expect a similar experience with any of them. The shaving experience is very nice, the rotary razors glide over my face like butter. I should note that I use the Lectric Shave splash first, which dries fast and then I dry shave over it. I like this a lot more than shaving in the shower with shaving cream, as I do with safety razors. The problem shaving wet with this is unless there is some lubrication on your face at all times, there is no glide with this electric razor. I imagine this is true for any rotary razor but, my experience is best dry with the splash first - no water. This works great to quickly and painlessly clean up your scruff, but if you haven't shaved in a few weeks it's probably better to start with a beard trimmer, as it seem like it would be quite a chore to weed whack a beard with this.Compared to the travel foil shavers I have from Bruan and Panasonic, I find that the Philips Norelco rotary does a better first pass, and the foil shavers do a better second pass or refining. With with the rotary/foil combo I can get a shave about the same as I would with a safety razor.Anyway, very cool and fun to use. Really my favorite part is the sensation itself of massaging my face with the rotary part. It doesn't feel like I'm shaving at all, more like massaging my face, which is so nice.

Works great!
Itʻs been over 10 years since Iʻve replaced my electric razor. I donʻt know why I was surprised when I tried this out for the first time, but I was. Love the batter charge indicator and that it can be used for wet or dry shaving. The attached trimmer is easy to deploy and feels sturdier than my older model.

Best electric I've had!
Not my first electric razor, 4th I believe. Still got a high end Philips 9XXX series from ~20 years ago that would be ok if I could find good replacement heads, but I can't. But this is about this razor. It's head and shoulders above that old high end one. No getting used to my beard, no this, no that, just charge it up and go. And unlike others it cuts close on the first pass, no need to go back and forth several times to get a close shave. Probably out of habit I still do a couple of passes, but it doesn't seem like it's really needed. Still not as close as a good conventional razor with shaving cream and all, but it's so much easier and so much faster it's amazing.

Feels like a toy shaver but does an ok shave.
This light weight item feels like a toy shaver. There’s no heft to it or weight to speak of. The speed of the motors tend to run slow for me. I’m accustomed to shavers that make a fair amount of noise and run fast, but this one is fairly quiet. That being said it gives an OK shave in about five minutes..

Nice name brand razor shaves close with a great price.
Shaves well but does not sound very powerful but don't be concerned. Definetly works better after a few times. Better than my go to 300.00 Br___. Hard to believe but this is a respected name brand razor. Do not spend 300.00 for an electric razor untill you try this.
