Americana DuraClear Ultra Matte-2oz

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I don't like glossy finishes and matt is very often not matt. This one is truly matt.... great .I wish I had bought the bigger bottle though as I have almost used this tiny bottle.

I have used this in both gloss and matt. It is the best I've used so far. Not much smell to it and it dries so much quicker than the rest I've tried. Worth it.

I have been using this as a varnish for my clay ornaments (painted with acrylic paint) and the only issue I have had is that I cannot use this straight, otherwise the surface of the paint gets covered in lots of tiny little cracks, which looks dreadful.I have found a way round this by mixing it with a little water, which stops this happening. Other than that, the finish of the varnish is nice, it covers well and dries quickly.

I really tried to like this product since Duraclear varnishes have been recommended by so many youtubers and in the miniatures community. However, after tons of experimentation, I can say that this product has just not worked for me at all and I am wary of using other products from this brand because it feels like I've just wasted money on something I will probably end up throwing away.The product leaves tons of tiny cracks when dried (both on polymer and air dry clay) which ruins any piece you are trying to varnish over. I have tried experimenting with both thin and thick layers but the same thing happens. I have also tried diluting the solution with various different amounts of water, but yet again, it would not work for me. Too little water, and the layer leaves cracks. Too much water, then its too diluted and does not seal your work effectively. It is difficult to find this balance and in the end I gave up because I didn't want to waste anymore clay trying to figure a product out which should have worked straight out the bottle in the first place.

A pesar de ser costoso por el envío, quiero decir que estoy conforme y encantado con este producto, Americana es una excelente marca, desde hace tiempo quería encontrar un barniz que fuera de alta calidad, y probe varios aquí en México, sin embargo ninguno de los que venden aquí se compara con la calidad de DuraClear, a partir de hoy es mi barniz favorito.El acabado Ultra Matte en VERDAD ES ULTRA MATE, no se ve la diferencia, a continuación adjunto dos creaciones mias una barinzada con Varathane y la otra con Americana Duraclear, los resultados son bastante notorios.
