⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid Feel and Beautiful Design — Can’t Wait to Ink It Up
Just received my Asvine P30 today and I’m already impressed. The brass hardware gives it a satisfying weight without being uncomfortably heavy, and the piston mechanism feels smooth and secure. The transparent acrylic body has a clean, vintage look that’s perfect for showing off a rich ink color.I haven’t inked it yet, but I’m planning to pair it with a nice brown ink to complement the warm tones of the brass. First impressions are excellent—it feels like a much more expensive pen.A great option if you're looking for a piston filler with style, function, and some heft.

Nice Chinese pen
So I wanted a piston pen, no converter, and here we are. I was warned that it had a “wet” nib and to order one level finer than a Japanese pen so I ordered extra-fine. Yep, about the same as a Pilot Metropolitan fine.It comes in a padded plastic “gift box”. It’s a heavy pen and physically large so it fits big XL hands like mine (unlike the Metropolitan which is a small pen that feels cramped in my hand). It has a screw cap so it’s slower to deploy but more reliable at staying closed in your pocket. You can post but it makes a very long and heavy and slightly unbalanced unit. Obviously be careful not to turn the piston knob that is the end of the pen when you post. It writes smoothly but as noted wet for its nib size. It is a weird combination of traditional brass look and clear demonstrator look but it works for me.I am using Noodlers Eel Black lubricated ink and with that ink it writes well and as smoothly as my Pilot Metropolitans, which are the Toyota Corollas of fountain pens, boring but reliable as bricks. All in all a nice Chinese pen, with the caveat about nib sizing.

Nib concerns
The pen has some weight and cannot be posted. I purchased an Ellington at the same time. Both pens have the same brand ink in them but the asvine nib has both an inconsistent hard start and the ink will skip. Will take a closer look to see if I can find out if it’s a fixable issue or not. I have a few other pens that perform better and cost less.

Quality with low cost
Love this pen. Clear indicator so I can see ink levels. Also hold lots of ink. Little on the heavy side due to bronze caps. Only disappointment cap does not post, would be to heavy if it did post so break even

Holds a lot of ink, write well every time
This is a nice heavy pen that holds a good amount of ink. I filled it with Robert Oster "Motor Oil" and it writes first time every time, no skips, no scratchiness at all. You can see how much ink you have left in the clear window. It's a cool looking steampunk-like pen! I have 4 Asvine pens now, and they all write well, all the time. No complaints!

DON'T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS THAT COMES WITH IT.
This pen is okay if you carefully use it with the barrel 3 quarters full. I decided I wanted the whole barrel full, so decided to follow the instructions that came with it.Tried it with water. The instruction was to remove the end cap to create a vacuum so ink can be pulled up to the full limit of the barrel with the piston. First of all, the end cap seems to made not to be removed. I give up here even trying to go on about it. The instructions have nothing to do with the functionality of the pen. So why include it? Besides which, the end part remained really wobbly before I even decided to follow the instructions. So now I have an expensive piece of crap that I am really unhappy about. Will not buy 'asvine' again.

Quality pen!
If you love slightly heavy, elegant fountain pens, with a smooth nib, and good built quality, then this is for you! I bought the extra-fine nib, which suits my style, and it is butter smooth. I really like piston pens, and use TWSBI pens, usually. This pen is a bit heavier than those, but has great balance and gives steady handwriting. I follow a natural (mixed) handwriting style, and smoothness of a pen is critical for that. This is perfect for my kind of daily use. I am yet to travel with this pen, so will update if that makes any difference. I would recommend this pen, based on my experience of about two weeks.
