They retire. And even then, they probably go start a second career powering haunted flashlights in horror movies.I put two in my wall clock three months ago and now the thing ticks so confidently I swear it's judging me for sleeping in. My kid’s toy dinosaur, once a sad, half-roaring lump, now roams the house at night screaming “RAWR!” like it just drank three Red Bulls. I’m afraid to turn it off.
