The material is a strong plastic and once stuck to the coffee machine is firm. It really is an amazing gadget for space saving. Good value for the money.

As Expected
To date, have only made hot coffee and not tried the cold brew or espresso functions yet. Purchased for use when we have company, which is good, because I cannot abide the plastic waste generated from using the K cups.
