The labels warn on both the shampoo and conditioner about getting in the eyes. I wouldn't put anything but water in my dog's eyes. However, the two products are lovely for itching and dry skin. I don't rinse all of the conditioner off and my poodle has soft hair and just a hint of a pleasant smell which is not overpowering.

zymox seems to help almost every skin condition I have come across as a dog groomer. It cleans well without stripping the natural oils and softens the skin and coat. I always use the conditioner afterwards and let it soak in about fifteen minutes or longer. Customers like the results and have reported back that the dogs itching scratching and flakey skin seems much better.

No they do not contain hydrocortisone.
