As you can see by my photo’s I am older at 63yrs of age and very light skinned. Also with freckles as you can see one up above my lip and many across my nose as shown in my 3rd photo. I was very impressed with this Burt’s Bees, SWEET VIOLET Lip Tint. 1st I like how they secure the cover into place and make it easy to remove by just pulling on a white tag as you can see I referred to in my 2nd photo. The cap itself stays securely on but not so much as to make it hard to pop off when needed. Then you apply to your top & bottom lips, and it goes on quite smoothly with little to no effort to apply, even if you’re not in front of a mirror. Please see the final result for me in my 4th photo. While it’s subtle, the tint does, in my opinion brighten my skin, make my lips look less dry and actually look more natural. I feel it also compliments my skin tone due to the fact I am so light and anything darker would either make my skin look washed out or too brassy. It also feels like I am moisturizing my lips. I have very dry skin, hair and lips, therefore this tint is beneficial to moisturizing my lips and keeping them in a fine condition like I would use conditioner for my hair or Moisturizing Lotion for my skin. I absolutely love this tinted lip balm! The Red Dahlia shade is beautiful — it gives just the right hint of natural-looking color without being too bold. It’s perfect for everyday wear when I want a little something on my lips without doing a full lipstick. On top of that, it leaves my lips incredibly soft and smooth. It feels moisturizing and comfortable, never sticky or heavy. I keep one in my purse at all times — a must-have for anyone who loves a touch of color and hydration in one!

This balm is very moisturizing. I have several balms from other companies and this is the one I use when my lips are especially dry.There is little taste. At first I noticed the fruity smell when applying but now that I've had this a few weeks I hardly smell it. The color is not too strong and seems almost a universal shade. Sometimes I apply this underneath a cream lipstick which looks pretty. This balm seems to stay on my lips and moisturize longer than others before needing reapplication.This was a good value and I will purchase again.

Nice, smooth texture with just the lightest hint of color. Not much scent or taste, which is fine by me! Glides on easily. Works very well and gives your lips a little shine.

I am totally hooked on Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Sweet Violet! The color is just perfect for my fair skin, it is a soft, natural plum that adds a subtle pop without being too much. It gives my lips a fresh, pretty tint that is perfect for daily wear, and it feels so light and comfortable. It is super moisturizing too!! I love that my lips stay soft and hydrated all day long without feeling heavy or sticky!

Soft and effective and lasts a long time and color is pretty, not too dark and not too light . Glad I ordered these. Like other Burt’s bees products , well worth the money .
