THE BIRCH & CO. BRAND4X Microfiber Sunglasses Glasses Gadgets Cleaning & Storage Pouch

Exactly what we expected.
I had three of these eyeglass pouches and I kept misplacing them because all three were black and the linings of most of my purses are black. Purchased these four with hopes that the lighter colors would be easier to find. They are exactly what I wanted. Large enough to hold both my reading glasses and my sunglasses so if I'm going to a restaurant I can have one pouch and both sets of glasses with me - sunglasses for outside, reading glasses for the menu and no glasses when I don't need them.

Good product, but there are better on Amazon for less.
I am a microfiber junkie for cleaning screens for mobile devices. There are about 5 different types of microfiber and within those five types are about 10 levels of quality, so basically 50 types of microfiber. On the softness scale this gets an 8 out of 10. It's not as bad as the 12 pouches for $5 that Amazon sells but it's not as soft as other brands either. Sometimes people want a silkier microfiber regardless of softness. On the silkiness factor it's about 5/10. On the tight knit factor it's about 6.5/10. Elasticity is not always desired so usually here the lower number the better which is 2.5/10. Quality is very well made, so here it gets a 9/10. The size is also very accommodating as it will hold my iPhone 6 Plus in a slim hard shell case inside a neoprene case, or inside my custom fitBAG very fine quality Nappa leather lined with very fine quality microfiber, made in Germany. One thing I look for in these pouches is how well the drawstring holes are reinforced and if they will come undone easily. I've used this pouch for a week now rarely drawing the drawstring and already I can see the threads around the holes start to unravel. This gets a 5/10. It's not as bad as many but not as good as many, either. Pilling factor: 9.5/10. These pouches barely pill. Some softer pouches have material that starts to pill and pull away in cotton like nodules but this pouch seems very resilient to pilling. Drawstring thread quality: looks to be a silver nylon on the gray pouches with a knot tied in the ends. No pilling here either, but no high quality touches either like plastic, movable, clamping, tightening pieces on the ends as I've seen on crappy, velvet pouches included with $10 torch lighters, let alone even plastic pieces that don't push in and clamp to tighten. They are just simple knots. So here it gets a poor rating of 3/10. Double lined thread around the pouch top ALWAYS helps to ensure a proper pouch that won't easily unravel and it is done well here as to not reveal any underfold on the inside below the thread remarkably. I would have liked to have seen a tighter knit like one thread every 1/16" but instead it's only 1/8", and with a slightly thicker thread. Overall though the construction here is good and gets an 8.5/10. Side seam: this is a disappointment as there are anywhere from 4-8 loose threads on the inside protruding an inch or more. This is completely unacceptable and the two halves of the seam protrude inwards about 1/4" for the first inch down, above the top circular seam whereas on the top of the pouch they did not protrude at all! It seems as if they didn't give a care here. However below this first inch the quality improves but the inward protrusion not found on a quality German made product like fitBAG just proves they could have done better; a very generous rating of 3.5/10.All in all, as far as pouches go that are about 3.5" wide x 7" tall, this is a good pouch and 4 for $4.95 is a good price. So price wise, this product receives an 8.5/10. Unfortunately, they give you all 4 colors whether you want them or not, which are all different instead of asking if you want all black, all gray, all white, all navy blue, or an assortment pack, but you get no choice and get one of each of those colors. I hate when companies force their choices on a customer and for that they get their lowest rating yet at 1/10. As it is, the bags aren't heat impulse sealed but have a cheap, glue strip so they could easily stuff 4 of any color you want in there just as they did here without giving you a choice. Let's face it: white gets dirty and most people don't want a navy blue pouch. The silver/light gray is a nice color and so is the black. If I had my choice I'd pick a 4 pack with 2 of each of these. But I don't, and so therefore I had to buy 3 packs just to get 3 blacks and 3 grays which really sucks.Do I endorse this product? Well they say their "BIRCH" material is a special microfiber softer than any other which is complete horses**t, so for this blatant lie they manage to actually score a negative rating of -7/10 (negative 7 out of a positive 10). This was the most disappointing aspect of the entire product as when a company lies it just makes you want to never buy from them again, regret your purchase, or return your purchase.IF we overlook that cowardly move, and rate the product from top to bottom just on its merit alone, out of the nearly 180 pouches I've owned and 95 microfiber cloths I've owned, these get a generous 6.9/10.• fitBAG makes stock Nappa leather or Alcantara bags for naked iPhone 6 and 6+ models, and those have a hang tag on the side with their logo. I had one custom made to my specs using a slim fit crystal clear hard shell case from Spigen, and without the fitBAG tag which has their logo on one side and "made in germany" on the other in white on red. The Alcantara versions (similar to suede but softer and more even-looking) have the same tag but with white lettering on a black tag. •

Tie Ripped Off Within 2 Weeks
The pouches are soft and good to keep glasses from getting scratched, but the tie at the top ripped off within 2 weeks.
