Anthony's Vital Wheat Gluten, 4 lb, Vegan, Non GMO, Keto Friendly, Low Carb

Times are a bit tight for some us these days, so I tried my hand at making seitan as a healthy, budget-friendly, shelf-stable protein alternative to meat or tofu. I have to say, it is easier to make than I expected, especially with a trusted recipe. On my second try, I got my preferred shape, flavor, and texture absolutely perfect! It is very filling and satisfying to eat.VWG is a much finer powder than regular flour. It easily clouds up and gets everywhere in the kitchen, and unlike flour, it's harder to clean if it gets wet. Live and learn!Especially bundled with the nutritional yeast, the price per ounce and per protein/calorie is just unbeatable. Definitely a healthy penny-pincher's dream pantry staple!

I have eight children at home still. We eat a *lot* of bread. I grind my own wheat and make bread from scratch. Anthony’s Vital Wheat Gluten is awesome. I get consistently raised loaves that are light and fluffy. Great product at a great price. This is the one I buy over and over again.

It instantly makes any flour into a bread (high gluten) flour, giving your breads better volume and texture.

This has been the best wheat gluten I have been able to find. It ships quickly, the bag is sturdy and works for storage, and the gluten itself is high quality.

I have grown to love Anthony's products! The wheat gluten in particular is absolutely fantastic! Let me tell you why.Why you should:You get a gigantic bag of this which is extremely convenient! Instead of ordering a whole bunch of small bags of wheat gluten you can get it all done at once with no hassle. This wheat gluten tastes fantastic and I've never had any problem with texture or consistency whatsoever.being a vegan I rely on this stuff as a heavy source of protein and Anthony's always delivers! You can make some delicious meals using this product and I would highly recommend it, especially if you are vegan. It has always been packed very well for me and I have never received an order where the bag was ripped open and the product came out of it.Why you shouldn't:The one thing that I do not particularly like about this product is the fact that it is packaged in a bag. I would really appreciate if it actually came in a container of some sort rather than a bag or at least had the option to add a container for the first purchase so that every purchase after you can buy the bag and pour it into the container that you already have. This however is an extremely small gripe and honestly I probably shouldn't even be bothered by it. It is very likely that using the bag keeps the cost down for the consumer.As far as cost is concerned I do think that it might be just a bit expensive but I cannot actually tell you whether or not this is a fair price because for some reason prices for vital wheat gluten are very high up and very low depending on the seller. let me put it like this, the cost has never deterred me from buying it!All in all I would absolutely recommend this product! It makes fantastic food for you and your family and you will enjoy using it because of its high quality ingredients and great flavor!

It works great! My whole wheat bread used to be dense and flat. I like it that way, but it wasn't something others could enjoy. Using this product, it rises like white bread would. I recommend it-and the price is right!
