Venustas Beach Tent Sun Shelter for 3/4-5/6-7/8-10 Person, UPF 50+ UV Protection Beach Canopy, Lightweight and Easy Setup Cabana, Portable Shade Tent

Worked well on the beach. Didn’t take too long to set up or take down. Protected us from the sun. An adult can sit under it in a low to the ground beach chair, but not one of regular height. Comes in a compact bag that we were able to pack in a suitcase to take on a plane.

I did a bit of research on dark shelter beach tents before a camping trip to the Oregon Coast, and settled on this one. I purchased the 8-person dark shade shelter, intending to use it as a play/rest area of sorts at the coast. Here are my findings:- OR coast is usually very windy. This shelter had no problem with that, held up to the wind just fine, the attached sandbags and sand stakes were super useful!- There are TWO zippers on the floor mat/privacy wall part - I didn't see that mentioned in the listing or reviews or questions - this is important and AWESOME because it means you can zip the fourth side up halfway to be a wind barrier, contain toys or items to inside the shelter, or zip up the wall 3/4 so you can check on napping children!- The dark shelter part works great, is *not* included on the fourth wall - even without the fourth wall being darkened it was decently dark inside (I zipped up the fourth side completely from inside to check it out)- the window flaps have elastic loops to hook onto plastic hooks in the corners, that's how you put the window covers up. There are also toggle/loop tie-backs to contain the covers when you want windows open. Something that isn't mentioned in the listing but to me is a feature is that the toggles used on these are the ADJUSTABLE kind! You can tighten them so the rolled up cover doesn't unroll as easily!- for being a 10.5'x10.5' tent, the bag it came in was surprisingly small and overall it's relatively lightweight! Super compact and portable.- it looks nice, it doesn't look cheap or flimsyThings I should share so others can learn from my mistakes:- as mentioned, the 8-person tent is 10.5'x10.5', so it's HUGE! I ordered this size due to needing it to arrive overnight (at the time it was the only one that could arrive in time). I didn't think it would be that big of a deal to set up/take down on my own, however I was WRONG. In the dry sand, with the wind, and the giant tent, I was lucky to have two other adults helping (the third was tending to the littles). I highly recommend having 2+ people to set up and take down, it will take a fraction of the time it took me to do on my own (which is what happened at the campsite to sweep out the sand and properly fold it to fit the bag).Overall this tent is wonderful, it's made of good materials and easy to use (if you have more than two hands and no toddlers running around!). It was also a very reasonable price for what all you get (it comes with guy lines, metal stakes AND sand stakes, and comes with enough stakes of each type for the tent *and* the floor mat/fourth wall thing). I will have to return this one only because it's too large for me to handle assembly/teardown on my own - instead I will be buying a smaller one from Venustas that fits our family better.Also, I didn't get photos or videos unfortunately, I had the littles with me while in the tent so my hands were full.

Great little tent! Better than an umbrella at the beach. More than enough room for the two of us plus our bags. It doesn’t get too hot inside because you can open the windows and let air pass through. Easy to set up and take down my husband basically did it by himself in just a few minutes

Great tent for the beach! Easy to set up. Quality of construction is good, no complaints about that. I purchased the 4 person size, which was spacious for two adults and all of our gear (chairs, coolers, etc.)What would make this tent even better, and the reason that I gave only 4 stars, is if the front AND the back panel zipped open or if it had a shade awning. Due to the location of the lake, we were facing south. This allowed a lot of sun to shine inside the tent through the large opening, offering very little shade (we had to sit all the way in the back of the tent). Orienting the tent in a different direction (possibly SE) would correct some of this, but would then have the opening in an awkward location. This had nothing to do with the performance of the tent! The tent works great!

This is great for camping, beach or the park- it fully closes for a tent! It's easy to assemble and put away except at the beach- trying to fold it with sand is a little difficult It comes in a cool bag so it's easy to transport and the color was true to the picture. We were able to sit two beach chairs in it with it open and our feet out. It would sleep 2 adults if it was closed for camping. There are pocket inside to put your sunglasses or other small bits. I highly recommend it for a variety of things.

We received this over a year ago and have used it countless times at the beach! Super simple to get up and provides a nice space to rest and relax in to take a break from swimming, while getting a break from the sun!While cleaning it last week after an outing, one of the poles broke, and I contacted the manufacturer and they sent out replacement poles no questions asked. Great customer service and quality product, highly recommend!

3 person darkening modelI bought my first beach tent when my daughter was born 34 years ago. I still have the same one and it has had its day. After a lot of research I decided to give this one a chance.I couldn't fully set up the tent because one of the pole supports was missing. The strap that supported him was torn. Luckily I set up the tent before leaving on the trip, which saved me some frustration. The maximum height in the middle is 48 inches, but the door height is 36 inches. You really have to sit on the floor. In the description it says that it weighs 3.5 pounds the one I received weighed 4 pounds. I chose the darkening model which is not a good idea for such a small tent. I felt like I was sitting in my dog's kennel. In a more spacious tent this darkening model will surely be effective for more freshness. The canvas material is thick and appears to be of excellent quality. The carry bag is compact and I had no difficulty putting the tent back in it. If all the corner supports had been present I think I could have put this together in 5 minutes. It was easy and the instructions are clear. I will have to return it and I will look for a different model. This one is much too small for me.
