Q: Has anyone achieved their financial goals by using this planner? Would it set you back $20 if you're trying to save money? Or help you gain more?

There's an old saying, "nothing ventured, nothing gained." Most likely it would help you save more, but depends on how well you apply yourself to using it and where you already are in your budgeting skills. Over your lifetime $20. is not much to lose. Good budgeting skills are a big win. Another saying is "It's not about how much you make, it's how much you save." In addition I would look at books on finance at Amazon books. There are some for different ages, some to further explain budgeting, an interesting one on "how money works" and many more. "The Millionaire Next Door" is a very popular book and may help give you some budgeting ideas. I bought the Clever Fox book for a 15 year old boy but so far he has not used it. My vote is to buy the Clever Fox book and start on your path to financial knowledge and literacy. The Clever Fox book is not just for listing numbers. It makes you think. The younger you get started, the better!

Q: Is it compatible to the cash envelope system?

Yes. You'll be recording your purchases in the book, which isn't required with the envelope system but is helpful to do. It helps you see what you're doing, maybe you're eating out every friday (still within your budget) but a little planning would allow you to have a few more dollars to save or apply to your debts. The envelope system requires you to budget anyways, so why not a written budget instead of an app.

Q: How many expense tracker pages or lines are there per month??

There are 36 expense lines on each page marked “expense tracker.” There are 4 of these pages per month. Each month begins with a page of “goals,” your “checklist,” and “income” and “savings.” There is a page for a projected month’s budget. As I said, 4 pages of expense trackers, and then a final page of “budget review.”

Q: Will it work for 2020?

Don’t see why it wouldn’t. It’s supposed to last for a year.
