CorelleVitrelle 18-Piece Service for 6 Dinnerware Set Triple Layer Glass and Chip Resistant, Lightweight Round Plates and Bowls Set, Winter Frost White

We bought our first Corelle Vitrelle Winter Frost dishware about 30 years ago and have been pleased that this minimalist pattern has always been readily available when I needed to add to my collection. As grandchildren became more numerous we've had to expand our collection. 30 years later the new pieces are still identical to the originals. As they say, if it works, don't fix it. It is also easy to match with other manufacturer's white ware if you need an item Corelle doesn't make such as a lazy Susan for veggie trays and dip and other oddities. My wife and I have been through numerous sets of glass drinkware because we can be quite clumsy however we've never had to replace a single Corelle dish due to wear or breakage. Tough as nails and the oldest dishes still look as new as recent purchases.

I use Corelle products since many many years ago, the model chosen is a classic, great to have it at hand. Corelle area high quality products and last for years to go. Nice designs, right size.

These are exactly what I was looking for. Elegant glass dinner set that's Made in the USA. I don't trust anything that comes from China when it comes to contact with food. I hope this company keeps making these products here.

Love Correlle and have used them for for like 25 years now… replaced them with these, simple elegance of plain white.

The product itself is excellent. However the person who delivered the box slammed the box down on the front porch so loudly and with such force that the house shook. The action was deliberate. One of the Corelle dishes broke into small shards.

4 out of the 6 bowls that I received in my set had very obvious defects - a ridge along the entire bottom of the bowl that is prominent to the touch and very visible to the eye. Instead of the bowl being smooth and continuous, it looked like two parts were joined together but the glass didn't melt down properly or something. I contacted Corelle and they offered replacement bowls so I didn't have to return the whole set - ok that's great, I was satisfied with customer service and thought that was the end of it. But then 2 out of the 4 bowls that came as replacements STILL HAD THE EXACT SAME DEFECT. How was this possible, did they not check what they send out even as replacements? Customer service explained it's just a cosmetic defect and doesn't affect the durability of the bowl - which is better than I thought, but honestly I don't want cosmetically defective bowls either. I'm waiting on the replacement for the replacements (customer service emphasized it's strictly a one time goodwill gesture, which is nice but if they fixed their problem with QA or manufacturing from the start, they wouldn't have to waste customer service resources...) and they did note that I could get the same cosmetic defects again even with these replacements.It seems like Corelle just has these manufacturing defects and rather than pull the bowls with the defects, they just send them out and hope that people either don't notice or don't complain. I only did since my family grew up on Corelle and after 30+ years of handling Corelle bowls, it's pretty shocking to pick one up and immediately see and feel this kind of defect.I finally had some time today to check Amazon and imagine my surprise when I searched for "defects" in the reviews and found a review by Jazzy2bsure from November 7, 2019 that said "Love the dishes but check the bowls carefully" and then went on to describe the exact same manufacturing defect that I had on my own bowls.

Work as intended. Love the durability and they are chip resistance. Highly recommend.
