This heater is 1 5/8” and fits 70’s era small block Chevy engines
This is a great frost plug heater. I like the plug connector at the heater, there is no issue with the wire getting pinched or twisted and when installed the cord is facing the front of the engine. For a 600 watt heater, it really does a great job, so well in fact that my 1972 Chevy K10 with a 350 engine is too warm to engage the thermostat controlled high idle on the Holley carburetor.

price was fair, it's good quality
liked it because it was as good as the original

Great product, good price.
I live in Tennessee. It doesn't get super cold around here so this 600 watt block heater is ok for my m1097a2 military humvee. But if you live further north I would advise you buying the 1000 watt version. The 1000 watt will keep your block water temperature around 120 degrees.

Works very well.
Used this on an International 464 tractor that wouldn't start in this recent bitter cold snap. Very easy to install, pop out a freeze plug, put it in and tighten the screw, refill coolant. Took maybe 1.5 hours and the coolant and block were nice and warm.

Installation a bit messy, but well worth it!
These are really nice I have used them for a long time. I plug my vehicle into a timer which is set to come on 3 hrs before I start it. Starts easy when temps fall below 0 and the heater is ready to go!

Great Fit, No Leaks
This was an easy install in my 84 Chevy 1 Ton 4X4 diesel. The cord was long enough to route safely away from hot or moving parts and still reach through the grille with slack to spare. Well worth the price and the time to install.

Worked well for the money.
Let me start by saying, you can NOT just plug these in over night and leave them. I burned two up before I realized that. At least not here in Tennessee. Maybe if your somewhere that it stays below zero long it would be fine. Now, other then that they are pretty good. Here it gets just cold enough you want a little warm up for your diesel but not so cold that they need it all night I guess. At the end of the day, for the money, this engine heater does what it advertised.

Worked once!
Used one time to test it out and it heated up fine. Installed in project vehicle that was just completed now. Plugged it in to heat coolant up before firing engine for the first time and POOF nothing but smoke and now it doesn't work at all. It was a good thing I was right there as it could have burnt my shop down if I wasn't watching it.
