The swirled glass canister was very attractive and I displayed one on my table with dog treats inside. Initially the lid was shiny silver as shown in the picture but over time (purchased March 16) it discolored. It also became more difficult to screw and unscrew. When one of my dogs started getting sick I looked for a cause. I came back to the description of these containers and it says lead free and FDA approved but I don't remember any packaging stating that to be true. I didn't want to take a chance so I threw the containers out and my dog hasn't vomited since. I was sorry it didn't have a better lid because I loved the glass. If you aren't using them for anything edible they would be fine. Not sure if they would still discolor if they weren't being opened and closed regularly.

If you get 50 Oz and are expecting them to be 9.5", don't get these jars. They are 8.5" with lid screwed on. Width is correct with lid. I did not check ounces.

The glass jars are fine, but the topa look like they are all scratches and very cheap. If you are looking for something to look nice, these are not it.

These looked a lot wider in the picture. They are tall and skinny. Not exactly what I was looking for, but they still look nice.

Didn’t look like the picture. I didn’t read the description carefully. I didn’t know these would be so narrow but also so tall. I wanted short/medium & fat jars. Doesn’t look right to have these full of cookies & pretzels like in the pic. The only other option I would use this size for is pasta, cereal, rice, etc...but these are too fancy for a pantry food stash of those type in my opinion. So idk what the heck I’m going to do with them like returning them is too much of a haste for a $20 refund or whatever.

These canisters were perfect for my purposes. I wanted them for storing and displaying my homemade shortbread cookies. The canisters sealed perfectly to keep the cookies fresh, and they looked nice on the counter.

did not order these to keep coffee. flour, or sugar. ordered them to keep 2 snoopy cats out of their treats. they kept getting into the treats. tore open bags, and ate the whole thing while rest of the house was asleep. these stopped thier midnight raids. they know where the treats are but can do nothing about it. [unless they master the art of unscrewing large lids].

Be aware, the picture is deceiving. They are way taller than the picture. It’s more like tall cylindrical shape rather than average medium shape. The mouth of the jar is so small that you can not even insert a standard measuring cup in it. I had to use 1/2 cup to pour flour from this canister. hope I could return those but don’t want hassle for shopping.
