Q: I was so excited to do this puzzle but was missing about 5 pieces. What can be done?

Are you sure?? Ravensburger is a very reputable company and if you bought it new, they will probably send you another puzzle. All pieces in new puzzles are in a sealed bag inside the box. I would check around where you put the puzzle together first, as we have accidentally knocked pieces off the table and then found them later. Five pieces seems like a lot. Check with the retailer you purchased from or directly with Ravensburger.

Q: What size are the pieces?

Well, this puzzle is put away now, but the pieces are, I would say approximately 1" x 1". They're not huge, and they're not so small that they're hard to see. Each piece is of course a different configuration. We did the 1,000 piece puzzle. You won't find a better puzzle manufacturer than Ravensburger!! They are excellent. The "Kitchen Cupboard" puzzle by Artist Colin Thompson was a hoot to put together! All of them he does are so unique and imaginative. We giggled the whole time. You will enjoy this puzzle. I would highly recommend it. You won't go wrong with Ravensburger!! Trust me, we have put hundreds of puzzles together and these are THE BEST!! Hope this helps.

The completed puzzle is 27" x 20", which is 540 square inches. There are 1000 total pieces, so the average size of each puzzle piece is a little more than 1/2 square inch or 3.5 square centimeters.

No. You want the one with a aqua colored box. In the upper left corner with bee an emblem that says "#1 Curious Cupboard". Its the same picture tho for both.
