One of the best first leaps in my computer building hobby
At first, I wanted to get the Ryzen 3 2200G, cause I wanted to save some money on my first build. I've wanted to build a computer for five years, so this was a good opportunity to do so. As soon as I got the parts and put everything together, everything just came to life. The CPU was fast, responsive, and everything looked so smooth. I underestimated the CPU heavily because it only had two cores, but I was very impressed with how well this CPU performs. I'm used to typing ahead of the system and having to have it catch up, I'm used to watching 480p YouTube videos and it STILL being laggy, I'm used to waiting about ten seconds to open Chrome. As soon as I built this computer powered by the Athlon, everything just became so simple. There was no "aight, lemme go grab a bottle of water from the fridge while I wait for this to open". Nope, it was just a simple click away and everything just happened right there and then, like how computers, in general, are supposed to function. Gaming wise, it's perfect for entry-level. If you pair this with a decent graphics card and get at least 8gb of system RAM (unlike me, because I have 4gb of RAM), you can get some pretty good gaming performance. It wouldn't really be anything to stay on for the rest of the system's lifespan, but it IS an option to do so. I'd recommend an AMD RX 580, a perfect amount of VRAM for the rest of your gaming needs, and it doesn't have a too bad clock speed compared to the integrated graphics. Just get a good graphics card and have at least 8GB of system ram and you're good to go. I wouldn't recommend staying on the processor too long, at least try to get a Ryzen 3 at least. Other than that, even just basic office work, the Athlon would be an absolute MUST HAVE. Even if you're just browsing the internet, you're good to go. You can even watch 4K YouTube videos, which is amazing considering I'm used to 480p. It'd be hard NOT to start on this processor.

Great value
Bought it for our new HTPC. Installed it in an ASRock Fatality B450 Gaming ITX/ac AM4 motherboard, since it supports this processor (but only 200GE, not 220GE or 240GE) right from the get go, no BIOS updates needed. Updated the BIOS to version 1.70 nevertheless. Works great. For those who are new to the AMD platform, be sure to install AMD chipset drivers first, and then Adrenalin drivers for the GPU. Don't bother with All-In-One packages, IMO. As far as the processor's performance goes, I did notice CPU usage spikes up to 70% when surfing, watching Youtube or installing software. So, don't expect too much from it. On the other hand, for occasional gaming (Rocket League tier of games, mind you) it does pretty well, I must say. I presume it will perform even better with older games (but not GTA IV, for instance - 30ish FPS with medium/barely high settings, but GTA is known to be a CPU hog, so that shouldn't suprise anyone). Hardware decoding of 4K Youtube videos works flawlessly, but it does utilize 30-60% of GPU, while CPU utilization is minimal (less than 15%). Used it with stock cooler for a few days, and it worked great even though it's installed in a pretty small In-Win IW-MS04-01 ITX case (not much room in there). Nevertheless, splurged on a Noctua NH-L9a AM4 cooler. Works even better. So, as far as CPU performance and price go (even though we paid premium price as far as 200GE goes - 61$), give it a go (especially if you can get it for 50$). Plan on replacing it with 2200G in the (near)future, though. Was too cheap to pay 35$ more for a 2200G. Nevertheless, not too shabby. Recommended.

Used for my sister's $450 bedroom PC build.
My sister's goal was to be able to do school work, watch YouTube and movies, browse social media, and pretty much any everyday task without being a slow piece of garbage. Her old HP laptop gave up and her, and she needed a new computer. I suggested to put together a parts list to buy so I could build it for her. My sister had no intention of gaming so we didn't need to blow money on a dedicated GPU. All we needed was a CPU that could support onboard graphics and not break the bank, and what better CPU than one from the Athlon series. It was between the Athlon 200G or 3000G but they are virtually identical in terms of what I needed for an office PC, so I bought whichever was cheaper at the time. 9 months later and my sister's PC is still running very well :DI haven't tried gaming using this CPU and onboard-graphics yet, but if you want to build a budget PC strictly for school/office work and some leisure, get this CPU (assuming the prices aren't jacked up because of the pandemic).

Used to flash BIOS, worked like a charm
If you have an older motherboard and want to update the BIOS this is a cheap way to do so. I kept mine so I have a backup/testing CPU. I cannot recommend this for gaming or media, but it's a cheap chip that can get you started.Be careful when changing your BIOS as this will likely make it so your motherboard will only work with some Ryzen processors, not all. Read your motherboard manufacturer's guidelines.

Good for getting started on low budget pc gaming
Personally I used this to boot up my computer to update my bios for another cpu by ryzen but this is a really good cpu for low budget gaming and for people that are just barely getting started with gaming. I would only recommend this to people who do not have the budget to buy a higher end cpu such as some of the other ryzen products but at the same time if you are just looking to run your computer for work or searching stuff online, I would recommend this.
