This was supposed to make gamy lamb taste better...Nope, made it worse. Hated the smell and flavor and threw it out after one use. If you like this smell and flavor, more power to you.

This is a spice that is used in traditional greek breads from the island of Cyprus. I found it to be a little stronger in flavor than the one that came from the island of Cyprus (which I cannot get in the US), next time I make the "village bread" I will use a little less and hopefully that will do it. I usually use 1/4 t. per bread recipea tiny less as I do not wish to loose the flavor. This spice is used in conjunction with ground "mehlepi" traditionally you do not use one without the other. To get an idea, in 3-1/2 cups of flour, I use 1/4 t. eachof the two spices. I do not know how to use this spice any other way. These are the traditional greek spices that I remember as I was growing up. I feel so fortunate to be able to get them here in the US.

Product hard to use in the container it comes in, its hard to measure it out and sometimes has me adding to much to food making it bitter. Not a fan

Horrible item! If you ground chalk, it may have perfume or taste to it but this item doesn’t at all! Don’t waste your money! It’s not mastic at all. Just ground chalk!!

Just what I needed to make Greek Easter bread. I was unable to get in my local store but very expensive for just a tiny bit needed for bread. Hopefully it will last a long time

I've been trying to recreate a mint called a Ben Hur that's been discontinued. One of the ingredients is Mastic flavoring. I thought this would work but it didn't quite make it, but it still has a nice light flavor.
