New New DB Electrical AKH6005 Voltage Regulator Rectifier Replacement for John Deere with Kohler 17-19, M8-MV20 with 15Amp Charging Systems /14.4 Volts /AM102596 / 4140305, 234279, 4140309, 2575503S

I received the voltage regulator yesterday. It only took a couple minuets to install and fit perfectly in the location that the old regulator mounts. It only took one wrench to install. I tested the output voltage on a fully charged battery and it regulates the charge to just under 15 volts. This is the first time that the amp meter actually shows the battery charging in the last year.

Worked perfectly for two years. Not bad for the money. A "genuine" John Deere one is over 40 bucks, so I bought a different one, and it almost smoked my stator coil windings. I'm reordering this one.

Fit great on my John Deere L120. took 5 minutes to replace. essentially plug and play. I installed it a few months ago and it is still working great. Can't beat the price!

This regulator/rectifier ran at 13.3 volts at full rpm and a charged battery. It should run at 14.4 volts to charge a lead acid battery. at 13.3 volts it wont charge battery. Specs said it runs at 14.4 volts but didnt.

charges at slightly rate which newer batteries seem to need old one was 11 years old needed a little help

While my 1979 one lived until 2019. My 2019 one (this one) lived until 2021. Slight disparity.I mean, until it didn't work it worked. But now it appears to be shorted across its junction and I'm getting about 21V into my battery (no, it's not enjoying it - and probably has to be replaced because of it). If you don't have one now, I would recommend installing a volt meter (not ammeter) on your dash. At least you'll know when it croaks, and before it fries your battery. :/

Everything on dealer's part was great. The charge light goes on and off ,more on than off, I checked everything and there is a charge to the battery so I keep checking and hope the light stays off but I'm sure it's not the parts fault but me and something else. Well worth buying.

Replaced the faulty original rectifier unit with this one and all is well, charger is functioning correctly once again. Simple job to replace. Ordering factory part through dealer would have been a fortune.

Worked great, my wheatheart grain auger has a Kohler engine on it and the voltage regulated quit. My local Napa couldn’t get the right one in anyway and the closest one they had was twice as much as this! Very happy

Installed on a Craftsman Riding Lawn Mower, replaced the exising 3 amp single diode system with 15 amp Stator and this Bridge Rectifier, works really well
