I just received this a few days ago and my space is small and compact but I wanted to expand out my tool collection to do more with my projects but remain within the space I am aloud to work, This little kit is perfect if you are working on in home projects and DIY projects and needed an alternative to larger tools.Yes it can't replace a full sized miter saw or table saw but that is not what this item was designed for! It was designed for people who love the hobby but have limited space! Easy to use, great value for the money, cuts are clean and it does what is needed! I can't Quote the battery life because I have not used it all day and ran it to the ground but for what I have used it for, its perfect!Edit: **highly important** I did forget to add something and its quite important, the first day I took this out of the box I had no idea they preloaded the battery into the saw, I am often quite careful with everything I do but as I was looking over everything by the bad luck of everything I hit the press and trigger the way I was handling it and the saw jumped to life! The battery was preloaded?! I really didn't expect that, Did I get a returned item or is this how they packaged it? There was tons of room to put the battery someplace in the kit, but nope it was in the saw! If I was absent minded or not paying fully attention I could have sliced my hand or leg pretty bad. Again I DID NOT do this and I am fine but anyone reading this just be careful when you get yours!

Great product, all in one, just what I was looking forto work on small projects around the house

I bought this to cut through thinner pieces of wood, plastic, and compressed cardboard. Works well for light projects. Didn't have enough power to cut through 2X4s though. The carrying case is very convenient.

I have several Dremel tools. They are very well built and durable. This one really expands my collection. Not only is it great for hobbyists, it is also very useful for finish carpentry. Perfect for fine cuts for mold. This will be a well used tool. And, the price is very reasonable. The whole package is encased in a compact, easily stored rugged case that is an integral part of of the system. No wasted accessories.

The saw worked out well! It's the perfect size and value for the projects I had lined up.And to add to that, I had an issue with my battery and the customer service rep drove out to me and personally hand-delivered a new battery and blade. That's amazing customer service.

The biggest downfall of this product is its best upside, so I see where Dremel is going with this one. The 12v battery on this saw is only good for light duty work for relatively short periods of time. Think doing trim work, wood flooring, roughing in a single window or door, etc. A job that will be intermittent use is kind of its niche spot. There are a lot of sacrifices made to make a portable solution for the home gamer and I think that despite the obvious downfalls it balances out fairly well in the end. If you do not have a home shop with the space and equipment necessary for this type of work this is a decent alternative. This little package replaces a lot of tools and equipment with something that can be tucked away on a garage shelf or a closet.I grabbed this specifically for doing trim work as it means I can keep this in the same room, attach a vacuum cleaner to it and do all of my cuts right there without having to walk outside, back in, back outside and back in again to check and re-check measurements, check and re-check fitment. It's been a pleasure to use for that reason alone despite its shortcomings.The saw is very well made, the rest of the kit isn't anything to write home about but is perfectly adequate for doing the type of work that it is designed for. It is fairly straightforward to setup once you get it figured out the first time and it all packs down neatly and easily. It's also fairly easy to clean with a little bit of compressed air or just flipping the case upside down and shaking everything out. With a vacuum attached to the saw (the attachment is included) it really cuts down on the majority of the mess and the dust. The included blade is pretty good and has resulted in clean cuts every time. The saw is definitely not much of a workhorse, but for trim work it's never once struggled. I wouldn't try cutting anything much bigger with this, but it isn't really meant to anyway.To summarize, all of the nit-picky downfalls of this set are there to both make this affordable and portable so I can't really knock any points for it. There's always sacrifices that have to be made to achieve portability and I think the entire setup balances it all out fairly well - especially for the price. This is roughly the cost of a circular saw without the battery or a cheaper corded unit.Overall I really like it. One use of this pays for itself if you do the work yourself so I think it's a fairly good investment. Maybe grab a battery if that's an issue, otherwise it's been good to me.
