La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, 40 ml

I had really bad skin on my forehead and saw this cream as it had been recommended in Cosmo, I thought I would give it a go, I used it for 4 days and my skin really did clear up, however I had a reaction to it and my lips swelled and my chin and neck had a rash which lasted 2 days and then my skin turned very peely. Now this cream maybe too strong for my skin and maybe my spots were not ache enough, but it did concern me that I had such a reaction to the product and therefore have stopped using it, which is a real shame as its not a cheap cream. I have since found out my father has had a reaction to the sun creams from the same make. So maybe its something to do with our skin rather than the product. My spots however did clear up practically overnight so I can see that it does work.

My skin has changed a lot over the years, and became an absolute nightmare in my thirties. A combination of dry and oily left me struggling to find a moisturiser that actually worked without making my skin even worse. Finally found this after a review I found online, and am so pleased with it.I'm now onto my fourth tube, and unless my skin changes again, will be sticking with this one.

This is the worst product I've ever used. Within a few days of use it dried out my skin so completely that it began to peel (I only used it on certain spots) and burned through my skin barrier, leaving me with severe post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation scars that I'm still trying to heal after months. I've since had to buy so many more products to heal my skin. Worst than a waste of money and I had such high hopes for la roche posay. If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT BUY.

I’ve found this cream to be the best moisturiser I’ve ever used. I have combination skin, which is also acne-prone, as well as eczema (although I don’t usually get it on my face), and sensitive skin too. I’ve found this cream to reduce shine, keep my face moisturised all day, and it reduces blemishes and scars. Also, it lasts a long time, as a little bit goes a long way. I’ve been using it for many months now and I’m going to continue to buy and use it.

I don’t have acne, oily or blemish prone skin which is what it was tested on. However I do have very dry, sometimes flakey thin pale sensitive skin that is prone to lots of tiny blockages and blackheads. I didn’t think it would work on me, but after hearing that it worked for a friend who has exactly the same skin problem and type as me who said it was amazing, I tried it out. I’ve now been using it daily for about 3 months now, and although it didn’t help my skin clear up, it really does help reduce the reoccurrence of them after I’ve got rid of the blockages through extraction and microdermabrasion combined with my new sonic skin scraper (which I don’t like to do very often). After trying almost everything I thought possible to combat this, I’ve found it is the only thing I’ve found that actually does effectively largely prevent the build up of congestion in between the expensive extractions, which means I need them far less frequently, and hopefully I won’t even need to get extractions as this will keep the blockages away for good!

I am on my 3rd tube of this cream. It is so good at correcting skin tone as well as keeping oily skin at bay. I have had loads of comments on the improvement of the appearance of my skin. I also suffer from thread veins and rosy cheeks. It has made such a difference to my skin tone, oily skin and rosy cheeks. I love it. My daughter uses it for break outs too and she swears by it as well. Even my beautician that does my facials commented on my skins improvement.

Over the last 6 months I have been using the la roche posay effeaclar skin care range. I've finally found a range of products that have reduced my acne and left my skin clear. I cannot recommend their products enough

I have rosacea and this cream has been wonderful. Within days the rash has improved. At first it it felt ‘stingy’ but after 2 days it feels great. After I’ve washed i apply it first to affected area then all over. Once this is done in the morning any itchiness goes so I can forget about my spots. I use Vichy cosmetics to conceal.I will be buying this product and using it permanently to control the condition. Hope this helps.
