Nifeliz V8 Engine Building Set, Exclusive Advanced Collector's Engine Model, Physical Science Experiment Toy for Adults, Home or Office Décor (2725 PCS, NF10287)

This NifeliZ V8 Engine is one of the most fun and complicated builds I've done. I've built lots of trains, cars, buildings and Star Wars sets. This ranks up there with the best of them. I can't wait to use it to explain V8 Engines to my grandsons. Cranking it makes the pistons go up and down as well as the valves opening and closing. It's a very well engineered piece. It's also a very difficult build but the instructions are fantastic. You'll have a real sense of accomplishment when it's complete. Unlike most of my builds I only found one thing that didn't fit just right. The top cover didn't set just right so I made a minor correction - I reversed the blue pins in step 192 and in step 371, now the top sets squarely on the red and blue pins. (see pictures 1 & 2). One other thing I changed was the gray piece used in steps 608 thru 611. Ascetically I felt the pieces should be all black. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this kit, I just can’t stop myself from modifying things after I’ve built them. It’s just more fun. So what I want to share is some of the functional and cosmetic modification I made to my NifeliZ V8.I have already showed 2 things in my initial review. Here are a few more:1) The top has a back cover that is only held on in three places. Sometimes when I would accidentally pull too hard it would slip off. So I added an additional attach point that makes it a little sturdier. See Picture (1 Engine Cover)2) The Frame structure for the gears on the front of the engine seemed like it needed a little extra support so I looked for a way to add support as well as improve cosmetics. I decided modifying pipes and locations of what I think are the fuel filters would improve the structure. One mod was very easy - I just had to remove a small yellow disc. The left side required a complete redo. It was worth it now the frame is secured to the heads on both sides and the filters are in better alignment. See Picture (2 Fuel Filters)3) The next few things I did are strictly cosmetic to satisfy my need for balance. There are a lot of pieces that stick out and look like they should connect to something. See Pictures (3 Engine Front 1 and 4 Engine Front 2). I decided to cap them off so they would look more finished to me. There was also an elbow that looked like it should go somewhere so I added a section that looks like a pipe. See Pictures (5 Cover Off 1 and 6 Cover Off 2)4) I add a couple of cosmetic pieces to the rear of the engine also. See Picture (7 Engine Rear)Let me emphasize there is nothing wrong with this engine. I just love kits where I can have fun making simple changes that makes it seem better to me and gives me my own unique version. Find your own little tweaks and enjoy the fun.

This V8 model engine was both complex and rewarding to build. It showed excellent engineering and attention to detail that resulted in an engine that reflected a realistic operation of an internal combustion engine. The building instructions were detailed and quite clear to follow. The parts were well made and none were missing. The hand crank worked to move the pistons within the cyclinders and to rotate the camshaft that allowed the intake and exhaust valves to open and close. I highly recommend this model over such brands as MouldKing whose engineering leaves much to be desired.

Absolutely outstanding set, a strong start for Nifeliz with their new "Engines" line of sets. No missing parts at all. The instructions can be a little vague in terms of orientation of finished assemblies, in particular I was forced to rebuild the crankshaft and connecting rods as they wouldn't align correctly with the cylinder heads. The finished set is a compelling display piece and the ability to "crank her over" is a real conversation starter. Highly recommend this set

Outstanding kit quality. No missing parts, very good instructions. Nice packaging and little cardboard organizing trays. Large detailed model when done. Brick quality and fit is excellent. 100% satisfied with this kit.

Enjoyed this build. Instructions were good. Some parts were not of Lego quality. Extra pressure was required to connect some parts. NO MISSING PARTS!

I'm enjoying putting this engine model together. I'm amazed at how everything fits perfectly together. The kit is "Lego" or "brick" style, which I didn't understand when I ordered it. Instead of individual parts being miniature versions of the real thing, most are Lego style blocks. It would have been more fun and educational for me if the parts had looked and acted more like a real engine. For example, the cylinders of this V8 cylinder engine are square, not round like in a real engine. And there really aren't intake and exhaust valves.

This is a great project. I’ve done a few complicated wood builds and really liked them. I was worried this being plastic that it would be boring and too easy like kids legos. Not so! It was challenging and fun to build. The instructions are first rate and of super high quality! A lot of thought went into the design and engineering of this V8 engine. I would do another Nifeliz kit in a heartbeat.

This is easily the most fun set and challenging set I've put together so far. It fits together nicely. The instructions were stellar. It looks incredible and I'm proud to display it.The most tedious part of putting together these models together is finding the silly pieces before you can put them on. But this set eliminates this tedium altogether by having more sets of bags with fewer parts per bag, meaning you don't have to keep searching for parts to put them on.
