Great Design!
Great design! I finally found a head lamp perfect for backpacking. It's smartly programmed and weighs only 1.3 oz.. If it's been on for a few seconds the next press of a button will turn it off so you don't have to go through all the light modes just to turn it off. There is a button for the white light and another for the red, but only one light is on at a time and the white has priority. The first light mode to come on is the dim mode. There are 3 brightness modes in white and 2 in red and a red flashing mode. There is also a battery charge indicator, and even the head band glows in the dark.

EDC for sure
I've always liked to carry a headlamp with me. They're always very handy to have. They work better than just my phone flashlight. And overall I figured this would be perfect. I originally wanted one of these for hiking. And I ordered an old model years ago that ran pretty well for a long time. It still works today but unfortunately it doesn't use USB cable like this one does. With this one having a USB cable I don't have to fiddle around a box or drawer of old electronics to try to find something to charge it. I still keep the old headlamp around and use it here and there. But this is now my everyday caring. Definitely worth having a ways nothing and the headband is reflective.

Love the separate red/white on buttons and USB-C!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Loved the original version (Gen 1) with separate buttons for red vs white but it was micro-USB. The Gen 2 version buttons are more complicated and it was too easy to accidentally turn in the white light. When I saw the Gen 1 version was redesigned as USB-C (this model), I had to pull the trigger. Great price too.

Perfect for running, reading, & cooking
This NU20 is good for many close-up tasks. The red light and the spot white light have a low mode that is really low lumens (about 1 lumen in both white and red). This is good because the low light preserves night vision and battery life. If you are camping with other people, you don't want to shine a bright light at them at night. The glowing of the elastic cord makes the light easy to find in the dark. There is a high-CRI white flood light that is good for cooking and reading. This flood LED has an even light output. Under its light maps and food will look as you would expect, unlike with most lights where they will look wrong. It is much easier to know if food is well cooked when using the NU20 white flood light than with other headlights. The light is not perfect. The only major flaw is that the headlamp cannot make any light while it is being charged. Running while charging is a useful feature for backpacking. The alternative is to carry two headlamps and that doubles the weight and volume. The NU20 Classic is a good gift for almost anyone: kids, adults, campers, mechanics, runners, walkers, etc.

Easy to use
This light is super easy to use. Simple switching function is what I like about the light best. It's very easy to use and use a friendly interface. You do not have to learn any special switch functions or interface functions. USB-c rechargeable too.

Lightweight, rechargeable, and bright.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this as a replacement for my black diamond headlamp that stopped working. It was much more inexpensive and advertised as lightweight. When it arrived I thought I got an empty box. This think is incredibly light. Wore it around the house and forgot I had it on. My wife thinks I went nuts. The button usage is simplistic. Looking at the light the button on the right controls the main light. The button on the left controls the red light. There’s three brightness levels to the white light each time you click it gets brighter. Same with the red light. There is two brightness levels and a strobe. If you click and hold the right button a white area light turns on where the red light is. If you click and hold again it’s high beam mode. There is a battery indicator light on the top to tell you how much charge you have. It seems very durable. It’s comfortable to wear and has adjustment capabilities to tighten the strap as well as change the angle the light is pointed. Bought two more for my son and wife also.

Super compact and tiny and really good run time for the price and size especially for the money. I keep one in a small first aid kid

Good battery life
The light is easy to use without a ton of settings/options. So it's easy to remember which buttons to push. If you're looking for the option of flood vs. spotlight, this isn't the light for you. I've used for several hours on a charge and still have 2 of the 4 indicator lights on with the battery check. The only negative I've had is that you can't adjust the length of the cords quickly. The way they clip into the light housing they only slide on 2 of the 4 locations, so you have to remove the cord from the housing to shorten or lengthen....unless I'm missing something - but, that is a very minor issue.
