It doesn’t move. It holds only beverages of a certain diameter. It doesn’t hold my larger Tervis or Corkicle tumblers.

Is this holder pretty? Yes. The woodgrain is an excellent accent to elevate any desk space.Does this holder mount easily? Yes. It uses a tension screw to hold it in place. You can install it on most flat surfaces so long as the surface isn't too thick and there's enough bottom clearance to fit the grip under it all the way.Is this holder sturdy? Yes. The tension grip holds up very well. Tighten it enough, and the chances of it falling off mid-use are slim to none.Would I trust putting ceramic/glass mugs or cups in this holder? Also, yes. The holder itself is deep, so there's no major risk of knocking over any short mugs/cups you place in it.Is this holder capable of fitting a variety of mug sizes? Unfortunately, no. Between the small circumference of the holder itself and the narrow slot for the mug handle, this can only hold standard, plain-Jane mugs at most. My partner and I collect mugs that make us smile, all of which consist of a variety of shapes and sizes. I was really looking forward to my partner using this holder regularly, but some of his favorite mugs won't fit in it.If all you own or use are the most basic of basic mugs, then I think this holder will be a great addition to your space. However, I cannot recommend it if you typically use a variety of mug sizes in your day-to-day.

Hi! I thought I really needed this and that I was going to use it right away, and then it sat in the box for ages. So the first thing I'll say is that this might not be a totally essential thing to have.I ordered this for a workspace that's in somewhat close quarters and there's a chance I'll get jostled. I figured a cup would be more secure all nestled into a cup holder than it is just on the desk. That has turned out to be true, so it's been good to have in that respect!The cup holder is well made, clamps on and off the desk easily, and it's holding up to lots of moving around and repositioning.Ok I love you, bye!

This desk mounted cup holder is okay. Appears sturdy, although loose fit. I wasn't able to use it as it wouldn't go over the metal frame on my computer desk. Limited in where it can be used. I tried a couple spots and was unsuccessful. Looks like it would work well for the right type of desk.

This cup holder and rotating hanger arm is perfect for holding my mugs with handles, tumblers, or any cup while suspending my backpack or my wife's purse. I bring it with me and clamp this on just about anything flat and sturdy. Great product. brilliant invention. I love it
