Samsonite Base Boost - Spinner S (Length: 40 cm) Hand Luggage, 55 cm, 39 Litre, Black

Arrived today (Fri) for use next Tues. On unpacking, we wanted to set the 3 digit code. We saw that, although the numbers were set to 0 0 0, the zipper clips weren’t in & the ‘push to open’ button was in the locked setting. Clearly, someone had previously set a code. Presumably someone (at Amazon?) didn’t know what the code was but turned the numbers to 0 0 0 before sending it to us. Not very professional, to say the least. A troll of the internet solved that, but it a) was extremely fiddly to do & b) shouldn’t have been necessary. Otherwise the case seems ok - I don’t mind getting a returned item, but I expect it to be in the same condition as brand new.Overall, it doesn’t appear as sturdy as our other Samsonites but time will tell.

it is light as a feather, leaving more room for my carry-on stuff, likle ski boots! and manoeuvres really well

Got through long haul flight and cruise without a problem

Prefer these cabin bags to the hard shell as you can put items that you need in the outer zips (ie clear liquid bag) iPad or laptop water bottle, book or paperwork) without having to open the whole case. You can buy a separate cover to protect the case if you have to put it in the hold

Decent quality but I would expect more from Samsonite.

Cabin baggage sized, lightweight, but sturdy suitcase. Well made as Samsonite cases are. I mean it’s a suitcase. You put stuff in it, travel, wheel it around…It has a combination lock so no keys to worry about and it meets the USA security check lock thingy requirements, so good for going anywhere. Pocket for docs, like passport and tickets and the main space for everything else. It’s probably not ideal for cargo hold use because it’s not completely rigid in terms of the case itself, it’s not a hard shell- so anything fragile inside could potentially get damaged by heavy handed baggage handlers if they were really careless.

Ordered one and very pleased with the suitcase. Ordered a second one two days later and it's just been delivered. Obviously a return, box heavily re-sealed and damaged, holes in the plastic containing suitcase.Suitcase itself has obviously been wheeled around and the top area, between zip and handle is not level with part of the internal plastic frame slightly proud of the actual suitcase fabric. Would return but no time. So disappointed after being so pleased with the first one.
