Awesome little buggies!
These are really an amazing deal. I now have 4 of them, one for each of my kids and for the wife They're fast, they're nimble, and they're quite durable. It's a hobby grade RTR kit for not much more than toy grade price. Fully upgradeable/customizable as well, but you really don't *need* to do anything with them. They are a little bouncy, but that's just typical of lightweight smaller scale kits, not a quality issue. And while these things are already quite fast on 2S LiPo, if you really want a rocket, stick a 3S in there. Punch it on a high traction surface with 3S, they'll do a backflip, and will hit over 60 MPH on an open stretch.

Holy cow this thing is fast!
I've owned a few remote controlled cars over the years but I've never really had anything above a standard "hobby grade" car that was anything more than a toy. This is without a doubt the fastest RC car I've ever owned. It's ridiculously fast and super durable. I mean seriously fast. I'll put it this way, it's so fast, that I was afraid to drive it towards me because I knew it could seriously hurt me if I got squirrely with the controls. The car itself is well-built. The whole bottom of the car is a solid metal plate so it's super durable. The back spoiler sticks up high enough so that when it flips over (and it's definitely going to flip over) the thin plastic body doesn't get destroyed. The motor has a nice heat sync on it so I haven't noticed any signs of overheating and there's even a little fan that blows on the controller so it doesn't get too hot.Overall I couldn't be happier with this little car. I've been tearing up the back yard with this thing and it has flipped end over end all the way across the yard and simply drove off. At $159 I think it's a really good value considering the construction quality and how well it works. I would definitely recommend this one.

1/12th bad boy. Not a clone, but a fantastic weekend basher. Love it. Easy to work with, fast!!! 2s.
The WLtoys 124007 is a fantastic RC car that has genuinely impressed me. It's refreshing to find a model in this price range that doesn't feel like a blatant clone of something else. While the battery compartment is a bit snug, it's manageable. The real highlight is the performance. The responsiveness and speed are incredible, especially for a brushless setup. This thing is seriously fast! Being a 2.4GHz system, I've experienced zero interference or glitching, which is a welcome change from the old AM/FM days (yes, I've been in the RC hobby that long!). The lower metal chassis adds durability, and the use of a Deans connector is a great touch, allowing me to use my existing battery collection. I especially appreciate that this model runs on a 7.4V (2S) LiPo battery. I have a larger 3S buggy that's almost *too* fast to be enjoyable, but the 124007 hits the sweet spot between speed and control. If you're looking for a fast, responsive, and well-built RC car that won't break the bank, the WLtoys 124007 is an excellent choice.
