If I have only one gripe! The tempering area is not shaped the way I would like it to be.Otherwise, very very nice!

This is a nice 8mm thick mat that's designed to overhang the edge of a kitchen worktop. It has a marked area for setting the tamping tool on but I find that gets in the way when filling the pressure cup. My espresso machine pressure vessel has twin outlets underneath and this mat has a single, semi circular cut away on its outer edge, where the pressure vessel is held for tamping. Despite this, it works perfectly has been in use daily since I bought it.It's very easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

Does exactly what it says and is a decent tamping mat. Stays sturdy when pressing coffee down and is pretty thick rubber.

Very impressed with this. I was worried that it might be a bit flimsy, but it's actually solid, robust, and does the key things it's supposed to do - protect the worktop and enable firm tamping pressure. It also helps me avoid inflicting pain in my wrist whilst holding the portafilter - I have some arthritis and would recommend it for that alone to anyone who has a similar problem. Excellent value for money.
