My electrician had never seen these. I purchased and provided him before wiring my shed. He said they are amazing and functional. Not to mention made pulling wire a breeze.

These things are great! The nicest part IMO is that when adding electrical circuits to an already sheet rocked wall; installing these sleeves protects both sides of the walls from nails. Can't say that about nail plates unless you cut both sides of the wall. If you drill straight and steady with a 1 1/8 bit, these are too tight and require a good deal of force to install. If you give the drill a circular motion as you go through the stud; they slip right in with finger pressure. Great product! If you try to drill with1 1/4 they are loose...

I just installed these drilling a 1-1/4in hole in studs with a spade bit. This size works just fine, just don't use any sizes larger than 1-1/4". I haven't tried the 1-1/8 size after all the neg. reviews.

These things are great.....as long as you are pulling wire straight and feeding it from the solid end. The problem I found was that occasionally I had to feed the wire into the slotted or locking end. If you do that, or if you feed it from the correct end and have to go around a corner or get a kink in the wire it will get lodged in the slots cut in the locking end and become next to impossible to pull. I suggest reducing the tabs on the locking in down to 2 or 3 ears with gaps large enough the wore can slide through or just cut narrow suits in it that the wire can't get into.

These will protect electrical wires in studs and not make drywall stick out. It also makes the pass through each stud smooth and provides additional protection to wires. The cost a bit more but are well worth the cost.
