Bought a used car and the smell of smoke was terrible. Bought this and followed instructions. Was only able to leave it in the car for about 16 hours and wow. Pretty significant difference. I let the car air out and have driven with the windows down for a day, smells kinda like a pool but I believe that will slowly dissapate, and honestly it's still a better smell than old smoke. Didn't get rid of the smell 100% but did pretty well. I'm might do a second one, as that would probably finish the job. Easy to use.

Best odor remover ever! I had my car on Turo(Which I highly don’t recommend to add your cars to this app due to this reason) and had many clients smoke blunts and cigarettes inside my car and nothing was done by this company to penalize these people, and let me tell you this little thing made those smells go away in a few minutes. Love this !

I used it on a used car that had some dog odor. I shampooed all the seats, carpets and cleaned the windows and headliner. As a last step, I used this product, i let it sit for 24 hours, ran the AC in recycle for 15 mins as suggested and let it vent. The smell got slightly better but still there and I'm not a person sensitive to smells.The instruction manual directs you to their website for their return policy and this is what it says ... "There are really only two ways that they don't work: they are used incorrectly, or (rarely) there is a packaging defect". So there wasn't any problems with the package now they are going to say that I use it incorrectly even though I followed every single step on the instructions?(The TIPS are listed after all the 9 steps, its funny that step #9 says to place lid back on the Auto Shocker but then it says on step 10 to allow vehicle to ventilate before entering ...how can I put the lid back and open all doors for ventilation if I'm not supposed to enter the vehicle for at least 20 mins ... So even if I were to try to get the money back, they want me to send the foil package that was properly disposed per their instructions ... and spend a bunch of time on shipping, an invoice should suffice but that's their way around it. So read reviews outside Amazon before buying this and check their BBB rating. Don't waste your $$$

My Chevy suburban (plow truck) doesn’t see a lot of use in the summer so the mice find it a convenient home, this summer it was bad, the smell of mouse pee (which smell a lot like mold from water damage) was intolerable, I left it sitting the whole weekend last week with all the windows down, it helped but very very little so I figured I’d try this stuff. I did everything the directions tell you, all the prep work, then just as the directions say I placed the cup on the upside down cap on a level surface in the center of the car, I opened the foil pouch, removed both the small pouch and big pouch and threw the small one away (it’s just silica gel to wick moister while the probuck is sitting on the shelf) I then placed the un opened big pouch (make sure it’s not opened!!!!) back into the cup after shaking it up to make sure it wasn’t clumped together.. . I poured one cup of water using the little cup it came with. Into the cup with the packet in it. After a few seconds I hear this popping noise and looked through the window as the cu jumped around some on the seat. Not wanting it to tip I reached in really fast and taped the cup down with masking tape lol after closing the door it sounded like a .22 was being fired in the car and I could smell the chlorine smell around the door frame it was so strong I let it sit from 2 pm sat. Till almost 1:30 pm Sunday and honestly when I opened the door the chlorine smell had gone away so I just opened the windows and aired out the car and took the cup out and tossed it away. I then got in and took the car for a ride and it still smelled like musty mouse pee but not as bad. Maybe another will help, if not I’m tossing the carpet out.lol. Oh, one more thing, DO NOT OPEN THE CLOTH BAG CONTAINING THE CHLORINE POWDER!!! just put it in the cup un opened and pour the water on it. If you open it you’re going to get a huge mess like others have who posted photos of it all over their car!

We first used this in our house after having a house-sitter who smoked spent a weekend at our home. She smoked outside but the windows were open and the smell was so strong in our bedroom that we couldn't sleep. We tried multiple different things with very little improvement. This product completely got rid of the smoke smell. We have plants in our room and it didn't harm them at all. The smell of strong chlorine was intense while it was doing it's cleaning process so we just slept in the living room for one night. The chlorine smell lingered mildly for a day or two but it wasn't bad at all. It has been about 6 months since that first use and our room smells fresh, not a single bit of smoke smell. The second time we used it was when one of our children left the car door open overnight and a stray cat peed inside the car. Again, this product did a super great job completely eliminating the cat pee odor!

It kinda worked. We bought a car for my daughter and it has smoke smell. It took a little away but not much. I follow instructions to a T.

This product is great. I had a lingering smell from some dog accidents in my car that I could just not get rid of, even with an expensive detail. I used this the other night and the next day no smell! Definitely going to keep some stocked for the future.
