I've been having issues lately with my asthma and lying flat for sleeping. I would find myself waking up in the middle of the night to use my inhaler and then prop myself up with three or four pillows so that I could still breathe okay but be able to sleep. Well, since getting this wedge pillow, now I can lay at an angle and fall asleep with no problem. I haven't had to get up during the night at all for a few weeks now with trouble breathing. I also haven't had a problem being able to still lie on my side to sleep. I put a flat pillow on top of the wedge so I can still put my arm under something to sleep. For me, this has been a game-changer for sleeping through the night.

My 93yo father took a tumble and broke his ribs. This wedge pillow was a life-saver during his early recovery when lying flat was excruciating. He was also on heavy pain medications and I highly recommend those as well. He is all healed up and has me chasing him around the house again leaving stoves, toasters, and faucets running in a mischevious game of whack-a-crisis, but he still uses this wedge pillow to get a good night's rest and run me around the next day.

Love this. Came out of the box and opened up to a pillow right away. No funky odor as I previously read with other pillows. Was packaged really well. Please let me know if there is a cover to buy for this pillow. It's already getting dirty. It's been a lifesaver.. I highly recommend this to anyone who Likes to work from their couch or bed. Gives great support.

I ordered the 7 inch for post op abdominal surgery at Cleveland Clinic, which is a 10 hour drive from my home. We had to stay in the area for one week after surgery, so I knew I wouldn't have a recliner to sit in. This pillow was a perfect solution! I think the 12 inch would have been too high. I propped pillows under my knees and you definitely want a regular pillow for your head too, and just use this as the incline. At home I have an adjustable base bed. This felt pretty much like sleeping on my adjustable base bed surprisingly! It was also great to lean up against in the back seat for the trip home, because I was in way too much pain for the front seat. I was home a couple of weeks and my friend was in a car accident that broke the bones in her face. She needed to be elevated so I let her borrow it and she found it to be great as well, to keep the swelling down in her cheeks. She promised not to smoke in her apartment and I was pretty upset my pillow stunk when I got it back, but I was able to remove the cover and wash it. The pillow itself still smelled like smoke, so I spritzed it well with a vinegar water mix and set it outside to dry in the sun. Once it dried I spritzed it with a fabric softener and water mix and set it back in the sun another day. Pillow smells fresh and clean and ready to be used again. It does take up a lot of space in the closet though. That's the downside.

We had to buy this for a member of our family who developed severe acid reflux. Once you lie down on it- you can't slide down, so you stay effectively still all night.
