The gold color is more like brass, which adds a touch of elegance to my storage solution.One thing to note is that while I don't believe a single magnet can hold 25lbs, it's not a deal-breaker for me. I noticed that heavier items like a roll of duct tape may cause the magnet to slide, but this can be resolved by using multiple hooks if needed.Overall, I highly recommend these Gold Hook Magnets for their quality, aesthetics, and practicality. I don't know why these are advertised to hold 25 lbs because there's no way, even if one used all in the package together, but they'll hold a few keys or a silicone oven mit (with another magnet under it to keep it from sliding down the side of the fridge).They work for what I bought them for, but can not give a FIVE STAR review because of this inaccurate claim...and the hooks that screw into the magnet base like to unscrew. But, again, they work for what I bought them for. So...4 stars out of 5.

Ad said they hold 25 lbs. Maybe they do, but it didn't say they would slide down the side of the frig when you hung something on them. I still use them for lighter items.

Hooks are smaller than picture leads you to believe. However, the magnets are strong. Hook’s have to be screwed into by hand, each one.

Much smaller than I expected. I knew they were small but they're just a little bigger than a pushpin. Very powerful though.

With most cruise ship cabins having steel walls, cruisers have long touted the usefulness of packing magnets to stick notes and schedules on cabin walls. These magnets serve that purpose well. It turns out that cabin ceilings are also steel and having hooks on the ceiling is quite useful when cabin storage is limited. The 25# strength claim is optimistic but these magnets are strong enough to hang a couple of clothes hangers or wet bathing suits.

After reviewing a list of recommended items to get for a cruise, I came across these hooks. They do not come assembled and you have to put them together. You just screw the hook into the magnet. It is not very complicated and instructions are not needed. They are small and surprisingly strong. The hooks are very sturdy and I had no issues with them sliding. They were able to easily hold wet bathing suits. They are very compact, especially since you can take them apart, and they travel very well.

Don’t fall for the misleading advertising saying these will hold 7 pounds. They are very small and I wanted to see how powerful these are by hanging a towel on the hook, FAILED! If you want a little magnet for your fridge, they great, if your looking for something that will hold weight, look elsewhere. They’re going back!
