E IS FOR ELEPHANT is a charming animal ABC book filled with adorable pictures and clever word-play. Alliteration is used to define the animals name and what it is, such as Allie the Alligator. Once kids catch on to this pattern, it is so much fun for even the youngest readers to try and guess what name the animal has. There are also abundant opportunities to discuss vocabulary as there are several different animals, reptiles, and sea creatures featured. The story is brought to life with vibrant colors and animated illustrations that pop off the page making this an engaging read aloud.

This book is very cute for kids learning the alphabet. It exposes kids to tons of vocabulary - interesting animals for each letter with different action words and adverbs for each animal! Kids could do most of the motions as well!

My 11 month old loved the great illustrated animals and my 4 year old was giggling thanks to the clever writing by page 2! This is definitely a great gift for your own child or someone else’s child of any age. I love a classic children’s book and so glad to have this as a staple on our bookshelf now.

This book was a hit with my 2 and 4 year olds! I love the colorful illustrations, alliteration and how it includes names for each animal.

This book is adorable! I love the rhymes that cross the page. It's nice having names of the animals because the kids can learn how we capitalize the first letter of names, and then you see the uppercase and lowercase form. It also has beautiful illustrations of these very lovable creatures.

It assigns an animal with a name that aligns to each letter of the alphabet, making it easy for children to learn letter sounds and discover new animals. The rhyming pattern of the pages adds a fun element to the book. For example: “K is for Kylie the koala, snoring in a tree. L is for Larry the lion, pouncing happily.”The illustrations are brightly colored and are not overdone. There are some interesting details such as soil spilling from a plant that was tipped over and dust being kicked up by Ollie the ostrich running by. The simplicity of the book makes it easy for parents and caregivers to read aloud and interact with children, which can enhance their learning experience in a fun and engaging way that is tailored to their developmental stage. I would recommend this book, as it’s enjoyable and educational.
