A niche device let down by poor design

Bought this to carry two guitars with me when moving country (by taxi, then plane, then train). Was pretty loaded with a backpack and large suitcase and couldn't see any alternative but this little Roadie (it's such a unique item there wasn't even any competition to check out).It did its job - just about.I was carrying an acoustic and small archtop, by no means heavy guitars, but it quickly became quite a lot of weight for one arm. The Roadie's lower section has a tendency to swivel about on its own, making it pretty hard to carry the guitars straight. That coupled with the unergonomic handle design made it pretty uncomfortable to use.It would be much better if there were some kind of padding on the handle (you could probably wrap it with something, like a tennis racket grip). The little rubber grooves that stop the guitars from sliding did their job, I was never worried that the guitars would fall off the Roadie. However, after just one day's use some of those grooves are starting to show significant wear.All-in-all, probably a useful design for carrying your guitars from van to venue, but not recommended for long periods of use. I probably wouldn't use it again for the same purpose.

1-2-3 Ninja!

This is a helpful product for guitar players or roadies lugging 2 guitars at the same time. I've only giving it 3 stars for the following reasons -(1) It could be better! It needs a comfy gel handle to reduce the hand strain caused by 20 lbs of guitars. The top of the handle is square and the finger grooves don't fit all hands (I have big hands). If your fingers don't line up, the edges wear on your hands after about 25 yards.(2) The handle swivels a bit too easily. Unless you walk in a straight line and heal-toe like a robot, the guitars are going to bounce a little and occassionally turn into your legs... There's no better feeling than a 20 lb smack in the knee (kidding, of course). I'll need to come up with a remedy for that issue... perhaps rubberbands to reduce swiveling or knee pads.My overall opinion - The Stage Ninja is a decent product, but it's better in theory than practice. For now, it's a cheaper alternative to additional crew members. Looks sturdy although I'm still nervous constantly loading 2 ten pound Les Pauls on and off. It's only been 2 weeks, so perhaps I'll revisit this review in a few months.

Brilliant idea, and so far I am very happy with it

This is a great idea and I will give it 5 stars someday after I use it for a longer period of time. The reason I hesitate is that some of my friends are scared that the ABS plastic from which it is made will not hold up. I sure hope they're wrong, I would very much not like to drop one of my expensive guitars while using this, should it break. But I personally think that it is up to the jiob, and I wouldn't be using it otherwise. They could have made it with a steel-reinforcement, that would soothe anybody's worries. All that said, it's a genius idea and it works great, you can carry two guitars with one hand. How far you can carry them is another question, two guitars may be a heavy load for some people.

Does the job. But won’t last long.

I bought this for the soul purpose of taking two guitars in one hand. It does the job. I had one before but it broke after a couple months. I lived on the second floor in an apartment complex so I had to walk pretty far. It was a bumpy ride but helped. Now I live in a house and only have to walk a short distance. Hopefully it lasts longer. For the most part this item does what’s its supposed to do. $12.99 isn’t bad either.UPDATE: finally broke after 3 1/2 months :(

Great Idea

It's a great idea, very simple, and very useful. It would be ideal if there was a way for it to attach to the handles of the case so as not to lose it. That being said - it is a help carrying multiple acoustic guitars.

Cheap plastic will drop your instruments

Don't do it if you value your instruments. Just watched my acoustic and banjo crash to the ground after the handle popped off. Great idea, junk product.
