My doctor told me to get 25mg of zinc w/ 2.5mg of Copper to help it absorb. Does this have Copper too?

Hi Bridgett P,Thank you for your question. Pure Zinc contains 25mg of zinc in the form of zinc bisglycinate. It is free from copper, as it is far more common to be deficient in Zinc than copper. Zinc and copper compete for the same receptor sites, so it is possible if you take large amounts of zinc for a long period of time, then you may need to take a copper supplement, but we don't recommend taking them at the same time, due to this competitive nature. Zinc does not need to be taken with copper to improve its absorption, and our zinc is highly absorbable and also incredibly gentle on your digestive tract; so much so that you can even take it on an empty stomach, unlike many other forms of zinc. What is the purpose of the L-Leucine?

We use L-leucine as part of the manufacturing process, as a “flow agent.” It prevents the individual ingredients in a capsule from sticking to the machine that creates the capsules. It helps to improve the consistency and quality control of capsules. Many other companies use magnesium stearate as the flow agent, but we chose to use L-leucine, as we only want to put ingredients into our products that benefit your body. Many acne sufferers are zinc deficient, and find that once they start taking zinc, their acne improves. It is thought that zinc helps to transport vitamin A to the skin and to also help regulate hormones, which may assist with acne. Zinc is also very important for the immune system to work effectively and it assists with skin renewal. Pure Zinc contains 25mg of zinc bisglycinate, which is the ideal amount of zinc to take if you are wanting to treat acne. As the zinc in Pure Zinc is bound to glycine, you can take Pure Zinc on an empty stomach as it won't make you nauseous like other forms of zinc will. I am not sure.  You an contact the company for your answer. They have great support. I know one thing, it is the best zinc supplement that I have found & took.  I have tried a lot of brands over the years & this is by far the best that I have found. I have been taking it for over a year & will continue to do so until something else better comes along. I don't think that will be anytime soon because this is a great product that gives you great results. If not, I would not still be taking it. Sorry I could not give you a direct answer.
