Do you need a new salt pod each time you use it, I am trying to tigger the dayle cost, looks like to me about .38 cents a us, is that right
Can you switch which side the water goes in and which side it gets sucked out? I'd like the ability to do it both ways.
I can't find how this actually works. Does water go in one nostril and out the other? I'm just curious how the water gets in and out.
How would I clean and sanitize this unit after each use? Thank you.

Absolutely best system for saline irrigation

Nasal irrigation works well especially when done twice a day. This little machine makes it effortless. I have used every type of neti pot, saline spray, neil-med squeeze bottle, bulb syringe etc out there and this is the easiest, least messy, fastest and most effective way to do nasal irrigation. I wish I had purchased it sooner but it seemed too “gadgety.” Well it works GREAT. Cannot recommend enough. I don’t mind paying for salt pods, makes the whole process easier. And the easier it is, the more you’ll do it which is the only way to truly get relief.

Cleaned Out My Sinuses and Runny Nose After 2 Uses

Great product & results.Nose was running for days and sunuses were all stuffed up. Was using Nyquil and Dayquil for over a week with no results. Did some research on this product, it got good reviews, and I decided to give it a try. After 2 uses I could breathe with ease and my runny nose cleared up. I’ve continued to use it once per day for a few days after the relief, but at this time I feel like I wont need it any more. I slept solidly within 2 days of use.A few things to adapt to which I worked through in a short time…You don’t have to press the nasal tips against your nose with too much pressure. It was leaking on me and with backing off on pressure and slightly aligning them my nose tissue it seated perfectly around the nostril seats and the water passed through with ease.Be over a sink or have a towel under your nose when you pull the device away as there will be a little drainage to capture. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. It comes with 30 salt pods and I’ve only used about five of them so far. I’ve already ordered an 80 pack from Amazon because I intend to use it on future colds and flus and want to be ready.Hope this review helps!

Brilliant When I Used it During a Severe Cold. Love it.

Update - 3-5-2017The manufacturer responded -- yea!! -- so all is forgiven. I hope to get a higher suction unit when they are available. I will post new review at that time.Update - 8/19/2016:Contacted the company to suggest/request in next version the ability to control the strength of suction. Because of deviated septum, one side gets "trickle" of solution going through, the other side okay. I still use this, and if (when) I get another head cold I will definitely use it to "vacuum" out the mucous. For me, without a bit more suction, it is not as useful. I am most disappointed that I did not receive a reply from the company about my inquiry. Sigh. I guess once the sale is made . . ..Original Review (unchanged):At first I wasn't sold on this device. Once I found a way to use it without plugging up my hearing, it was just okay, but I didn't really notice that much difference. Then I got a BAD rhinovirus. My sinuses were so clogged and my head felt so stuffy, I fully expected to see brain matter expelled when I blew my nose for at least a half hour at a time. The effectiveness of the Navage was a surprise. If you don't want to be grossed out, stop reading know. Just know that it really cleared my sinuses.First, my method of use is to run it for several seconds and when I feel the build up of too much pressure, I pull it out of my nares and a significant amount of fluid rushes out both sides of my nasal passages. Obviously, I lean over the sink during use. Then I repeat the process two to four times. I have a severely deviated septum which I have been told cannot be surgically repaired because of its location -- which is why the fluid during use builds up until I remove the nasal horns. Now, the gross part. The first time I removed the Navage and expected saline solution, I expelled a huge amount of histamine-colored (yellow) mucous. Each time, more and more came out. I could actually breathe in air on both sides of my nostrils, which hasn't happened in years. It would have taken an hour to blow all that goo out of my sinuses, plus use up a box of tissues.I made sure to use it just before going to sleep, and it helped make it easier to fall asleep -- instead of feeling like I had 20 pounds of gook in my head.My technique of "nasal interruptus" is not described in the literature or on the web site. I found it through trial and error. Know that this device takes some practice to find a way it will work for each person.Being able to wash the sinuses by using saline with suction is so much better than other methods. I know. I'm old. I've tried them all. Highly recommended.

Powerful—but be ready for the suction

This machine is a powerhouse! I almost returned it after the first use because the suction caught me off guard—it’s WAY different from using a traditional neti pot, which just relies on gravity. If you’re used to the gentle flow of a neti, be prepared for a totally different sensation. You really have to trust the process and let it do its thing. Once you get past that, it works incredibly well and leaves you feeling super clear.I would have rated this 5-stars, but due to the fact that you have to use the branded salt pods at 40 cents per use is a downside for me.Overall, it’s a great tool if you’re serious about nasal irrigation.

If you use a neti pot or equivilent this poroduct is for you.

I am a neti pot user for over 15 years, it works great for allergy seasons and runny nose with the cold or flu. This product is amazing and well worth the money. It has an strong rinse and suction ability. The soft nasal tips are comfortable and adjustable for different widths between the nasal passages. I have a bad back so what I really like about this product is I don't have to constantly lean over the sink like I did with the neti pot. I only have to lean over the sink before I turn the machine off and remove the nasal tips to catch the small amount of water that comes out of my nose. This product creates far less mess than the neti pot. I was surprised to see some small partiicles floating around in the bottom chamber which collects the rinse water. I am quessing they came from my nose. No wonder my nasal passages were stuffy if those particles were coming from inside of my nose. As far as the end result goes this product works as well if not better than the neti pot. So glad I took a chance on buying it!
