Too tasty to be “medicine”
Aside from the fact that this stuff works like a charm and keeps my laryngopharengeal reflux at bay, it tastes like the most delicious ice cream topping you can possibly imagine… It’s really hard to restrict myself to only 5 mL at night! If you’ve ever had Baskin-Robbins turtle pie- that’s what this stuff tastes like! I take it after I’ve eaten everything for the day about an hour before I go to sleep and no more acid reflex bubbling up into my throat & hearing funny little noises every time I lay down! I’m getting so much better sleep now too!

Surprisingly Tasty Relief — Like Dessert for Heartburn 🍨🔥
REFLUX GOURMET Natural Heartburn Relief is one of those rare medical-ish products that actually tastes good. I was expecting chalky, medicine-flavored sadness — but it’s smooth, creamy, and honestly tastes like dessert your grandma would sneak you when your parents weren’t looking.Effectiveness? It’s pretty good. Not a magic potion, but definitely takes the edge off minor reflux or those “oops-I-had-salsa-again” moments. I wouldn’t call it a heavyweight champ for raging GERD battles, but for mild or occasional flare-ups (especially something like LPR or light-duty GERD), it holds its own nicely. If your reflux is more “mild drama” than “full-blown firestorm,” this might be your tasty little hero. Just don’t expect it to wrestle down a triple-pepperoni pizza situation.

Works, and seems better than this competitor
It seems to work. I still need my prilosec, but I've been able to cut back to a half dose with the help of this product. I take it before bed, and sometimes after a meal that's large or acidic. In addition to helping with reflux, it gives me a feeling of "fullness / satiety".Being curious, I tested it in a simple experiment alongside competitor Reflux Raft. I put 1 tsp of each (the recommended dosage for both) in some white vinegar (pH similar to stomach) at about 99 degrees (to approximate body temp). After a minute or two, both created nice rafts, but Reflux Gourmet's was about double the volume of the other one, as you can see in the photos (RG on left, RR on right). This makes sense since, according to their ingredients panel, RG has about 75% more "proprietary alginate complex". RG is also slightly cheaper, so the choice seems clear for me.

Endocrinologist Recommended
My Endocrinologist suggested I take this every day after I had an Endoscopy. I don’t have a Gall Bladder so my bile builds up and doesn’t get removed line it should.I Haven’t used this product, but for about 4 days, so I don’t know if this will help with reducing my stomach acid. The taste and texture is definitely unique. Not horrible tasting, but it’s like eating a spoonful of caramel ice cream topping, with a bit of a funky taste. I do wish they made more flavors than Vanilla Caramel Creme and Chocolate Mint. Plus it’s pricey at $28 for an 8 oz tube. Taking 1 tsp in tbd evening There should be at least 47 servings in a tube which breaks down to just under $0.60 a serving. So I guess the cost per serving is less than a cup of coffee.

Works great at a higher dose
Love this stuff, it’s been much more effective and safe than Ppis for me (plus it tastes good which is a nice treat on a restricted reflux diet). I do need to almost double the recommended 5 ml dose to see the full effect.

Did not work for me
for me this product did nothing for my heartburn. Also, while stored in my kitchen cupboard, it did explode or you know, crack open, and ooz all over.

Not sure anymore.
I've been receiving this on a subscription for almost 3 years now. I absolutely love this! It definitely works! HOWEVER, my last shipment tasted gritty and it's NEVER tasted gritty before. Always smooth and delicious! I mean, seriously, sometimes I'd just take a little for flavor sake! Lol! But this time, I'm always hoping my lpr/gerd will ease up enough to where my Zantac will just help. Was there possibly a change in an ingredient??? I'm allowing my next one on my subscription to be delivered. I'm really hoping it was a one time fluke. Maybe it was old? Or maybe it was stored in less than desirable place that was hot in the warehouse or wherever they are kept before shipping. Idk. But, I'll come back and edit this review and give it a five star, if the flavor is as delicious as the 12 plus other ones I have recieved since 2021.
