Black goes to the trailer frame. I found it easiest to crimp on a 16ga ring terminal; no need to insulate and take a SS washer and connect directly to one of the bolts that will affix the light to the trailer.Clean look.Don't use the tiny screws included - use quality bolts to affix the light to the frame, such as self tapping bolts.Much brighter than my incandescent markers.Arrived super fast!Great deal and upgrade value for your money!

I bought these lights to replace a broken marker light on my 2015 Itasca motor home. These lights are designed to be mounted on a flat surface. There are 6 LEDs that throw out a lot of light.After removing the old light, I sealed the electric supply line hole with silicone sealant. I did this to ensure no moisture would enter the interior of the motor home.The new lights came with TINY mounting screws which would not work in the existing larger holes in the motor home so I used the screws from my old broken light. I drilled out the small screw holes in the light to accommodate the larger screws. The screw holes on the new light did not exactly match the existing screw holes in the coach, but I was able to get the old screws to hold by driving them in at a slight angle. Before I drove the screws in, I placed a blob of silicone sealant in the holes in the motor home to help seal the holes.The new light has four drain holes in the light frame. If left open, they would allow excess water to enter the light body and possibly leak into the motor home. I caulked around the exterior of the light and sealed three of the four holes. I left the trailing bottom hole open to act a a drain. I also caulked the screw heads inside the light.Haven't tested on the road yet but the light works.

These lights were a nice upgrade to my older incandescent marker lights. Easy to install and nice and bright.The only thing I don't quite get is why they have open slots on the top and bottom of the lens? I'm guessing this is to prevent moisture/condensation and because it would be hard to fully seal these units. But in my mind, this are a great way to introduce dust and dirt and bugs. So I just sealed the holes up with sealant as I installed them. Figured there's enough air gap around the rest of the lens perimeter to allow slow moisture evaporation. We'll see...

Well packaged but appears flimsy and not sealed to prevent moisture from getting under the light base which, in my case would allow water to pass through the the fairly large wire hole in car body.

I used these 2 amber lights to replace the older incandescent side-markers near the front of my snowmobile/utility trailer. They were straightforward to connect and install. I like the way the lens covers securely snapped in place. The last 2 times I've used 4"x2" lights of this style, the lens covers were so loose that any minor touch or bump would knock them off. On the downside, after I got them both installed, one of them proved to be faulty (light didn't work). I started doing the online return process, but it would have required me to uninstall both lights and drive 50 km to the nearest UPS drop-off location for the free return shipping. It would have been cheaper to just buy another one, which I planned to do. Just to check it out first, I did an online chat with amazon's customer service and the representative very quickly understood and offered a full refund. Wow! So I ordered again and will install 1 of the 2 that arrive to replace the dud.Ordered 2010-10-10 for $16.72, arrived 2021-10-19.

Working well. I replaced 14 lights with these on my motorhome. Three didn't light up, but it was a ground issue. All working and look good.
