Nice sturdy stiff wire
Stainless steel is stiff and sturdy, don't forget that. It's harder to work with then your average craft wire. I like it to make jewelry components like clasps, jump rings, connectors, etc. Itbtakes a lot of work to make a wire WRAPPED loop, but it can be done. it's also good as base wires with wire weaving. I would wrap a stone with it though. It wouldn't hold it right, because it's so hard to work with. This wire has a great shine to it. I like stainless steel wire, because I can file it down, buff it, shine it (with a 7step finger nail shiner) without worrying about copper peaking through. It's a solid wire, so you don't have a copper base like other craft wire has. It's hypoallergenic too. Sure it has a more gray look to it, and it's not as bright as plated wire, but like I said....get yourself a 7step nail buffer/shiner and it will be bright and super shiney. This wire is ready to work with as is though, but if you want more shine then buff and shine it.

High quality stuff
I have enjoyed using this brand, Artistic Wire, for crafts such as wire weaving and home repairs. It holds its shape better than other brands of wire. I recommend using the 26th gauge wire or using the Artistic Wire

Liked that it was stainless
Used it to rewire a beach umbrella where the wire holding it together rusted and broke. Should be good for a while.

A Bit on the Stiff Side
Still getting used to this wire and working with stainless steel, after years and thousands of wire wraps with half-hard sterling, copper, coated copper, nickel and more. This wire at 20 G is best for plain loops. I wouldn't want to wrap it tightly, and don't think I could. It reminds me of wire working with brass as far as the hardness goes. The color is the typical stainless steel- don't expect shiny silver! It's just a different look, but not that bad. A decent trade off for the durability and savings.

Great craft wire
I have plans for this and I have yet to make something. It's thick and not bent up. Ordered this first week of February 2024 and review is from having it for 2 days. This could help someone decide to buy it since I saw several negative reviews.

Easy to work. For steel.
This was exactly what I was hoping for. Some reviews said it was too hard to wire wrap with. I disagree. You will have a hard time trying to achieve fine coiling or tightly woven intricate weaves with steel of any kind. This stuff is easier to work than what I have tried in the past. If you've never used steel, you may find this very challenging to work especially if comparing it to dead soft copper or craft wire, but it most definitely can be used for wire wrapping & weaving.
