This works great for a Honda shadow vlx rear fender

This works great for a Honda shadow vlx rear fender. It's solid, and exactly what you'd expect, a little cutting welding and poisoning and it works great, for a motorcycle but the 12", not the 8"...

This is the fender you're looking for if you're bobbing/chopping your bike and you want a nice flat fender for your project

This! This is the fender you're looking for if you're bobbing/chopping your bike and you want a nice flat fender for your project. It's plain, totally symmetrical, and plenty thick enough to support a seat pad for a passenger with minimal stiffening. My bike has a 150/90-15 tire and both the width and curve of the fender are pretty much spot-on. Don't waste your money on higher priced fenders or those plastic Sportster wanna-be fenders.

What good is a galvanized finish when the metal is gouged?

The fender is heavy gauge steel, plenty strong and far from flimsy. The problem is the finish--galvanized. I was hoping to keep them unpainted for the look of the zinc galvanizing (as illustrated in the product image), unfortunately, I will either need to paint them or have them dipped again. It appears that the manufacturer chose to use pre-galvanized sheet, and cut and formed the fenders from that. This leaves the whole edge prone to rust, as well as the tooling and machine marks from forming. On top of that, the fenders were shipped without any packing material inside the box, so they just banged into each other and harmed the finish even further.I realize the price point of the fenders is low, but all of the actions aforementioned negate the benefits of galvanizing

Fantastic Fit for '87 K-75 Bike

I am converting a 1987 BMW K bike to a cafe racer and needed a simple (and cheap) rear fender option that i didn't mind butchering. Ordered it and voila, its a perfect fit for my bike. I originally thought i would have to cut it to fit but it fits as is, perforce length and width, good quality metal, heavy gauge, and well formed. I cannot be happier because for this price, i couldn't ask for a better fender.

Top-notch fender. Heavy gauge and perfectly formed

You can not buy a better galvanized fender. This is a top quality replacement fender for your trailer. I bought mine to replace the plastic fenders that came with my canoe trailer. They cracked in pieces in less than two years. Most large fenders are mounted from the left and right ends. This is an 8 inch fender, and it requires mounting from behind. If your trailer is like mine, you'll have to fabricate a mounting bracket like I did. It's easy- just buy some galvanized bar stock and bolts with locking nuts (important) from your hardware store. The pictures show how I made mine. The first photo compares the galvanized fender with the old, cracked plastic original one.

Perfect fit

Great alternative to spending a ton on an actual motorcycle fender. Very high quality thick steel. Fit great on my bobber project bike. Would buy again!

Great Fender but just a little too wide

If you’re building a bike and you’re looking for a custom fender that won’t run you 150-250 dollars?? Then this is the best choice, good solid metal but not too heavy, nice shape and you can’t beat the price at only $20-22 bucks. The only downside is the fender is a little over 7” wide and is too wide to fit properly on my ‘85 Honda rebel. Will ty and ass if I can cut and buff a little off to see if it’ll fit. Otherwise those as long as your frame allows a fender of about 7” I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one. Hope maybe one day they can make a 5&7/8’s or 6” wide fender.

Essentially OEM replacement

The passenger side fender was missing on the used Bass Tracker (17') my son bought. This was a perfect replacement, less holes. I marked and drilled four holes and mounted the fender. Then backed it with some carpet-covered plywood for a factory look. Working well.
