Great eyeliner for a great price. Glides on well and stays on.

Pro: I like the brown color, softness and it glides well with the sharp point along the eye line on both upper and lower lashes. I was careful to let it set for 30 seconds so it wouldn't smudge, and it lasted all day for me. I didn't remove it with anything, just washed my face with tepid water and in the morning nothing was on my silk pillowcase so that was fine with me. I can't comment on how waterproof it is, but it has great smudge resistance once set.Con: I've only used it once, so I have no idea how long it will last yet. It doesn't have a built-in sharpener and crayon is quite thin so I'm not giving it 5 stars until I've had it long enough. If Amazon allows an update, I'll do a followup review.

I don't wear a lot of makeup as it, and I wanted to add something that matched my natural dark brown features. This eyeliner is fantastic, easily applies to your skin and it's easy to take off with makeup wipes. I've had no issue with it smudging on my eyes, as it's stayed in place all day when it comes to moving around and manual labor. It is waterproof, that's true! And it stays on for at least 7 hours. You can touch it up and it looks great when re-applying. I'm going to buy this eyeliner again, especially knowing this was the first time I've bought an Elf branded product before!

This review is for the Coffee brown color eyeliner pencil, and I like it. It's creamy, goes on smoothly, and after 30 seconds does not smudge. It retracts easily and is a good value. I plan to reorder it as so far it's my favorite eyeliner.Reviews seem to vary depending on the color.

I like e.l.f. products. Right now, they're circulating an adorable advertising video which I highly recommend watching. It's a hoot. And until now, all their products I've purchased did well for me.BUT...this one...failed me. In fact...I threw it out! Take it from me, I do not lightly throw things out. Especially during Frugal February, but I'd given up on this eyeliner.The problem? It was so hard, I couldn't draw lines. It was definitely not creamy. It was so smudge-proof, even pressing quite hard against my eye, I couldn't get a consistent line. I had to fill it in with the old eyeliner. That looked erratic. So, I broke down and bought their liquid eyeliner at the local discount store.I give this pencil eyeliner a 3 rating for that reason. e.l.f. is generally a great value. I had to wonder if it was that way because it was old? dried out? You might have better luck than I did.

I have dozens of eyeliner pencils. This is the only one that stays on all day. I did not know which brand name it was, but I kept noticing it was the only one that worked, so I got my glasses & looked at the name. It is the only one I will buy in the future. I have Prime, Thrive, & many others. NO Comparison.
