HHIP 1031-0312 S05 SCLCR06 Mini Indexable Boring Bar

I was in need of a smaller boring bar for inside boring on small objects in my mini lathe; so purchased this one to try. I have used it multiple times so far and the function is nearly flawless for both boring and facing in a pinch on aluminum. The Carbide insert is a large bonus and allows me to use it for harder metals other than aluminum. It is sturdy and the length is longer than I will ever need, but offers total area support by being inserted in the tool holder with all screws contacting the shank. The flat area on tool shank is a large benefit for increased holding power in the tool holder also.

Lot nicer quality than a lot of the tooling I have dealt with... Have bored half a dozen holes .375 over the starting diameter (.5 to .875), and a few .5 to .55, with no issues.

Use this one everyday. Great reach, and good rigidity. There is a milled flat on both sides, so use a conventional tool holder without a V bottom

I did not test this and will be returning this as I was looking for an 8mm minimum bore. This is more like a 10 mm minimum bore. The neck is .291" diameter, 1.17" length. Otherwise seems well made.
