LawnMaster NPTGCP2617A No-Pull Curved Split Shaft Trimmer 26cc 2 Cycle, Black

I am 5’2” and 110 pounds in a heavy day. I am not strong enough or big enough to start a pull start weed eater so I bough this for the push start. Good news is that I have no problem starting it. So it does exactly what I’d hoped. The problem is that I’m not tall enough to use it. It’s so long that I have to use it at a weird angle. And it’s also too heavy for me so I will need to purchase a strap. With a strap the weight is fine. My bigger concern is the length. So I still struggle because I’m tiny and it’s just too long for me. But my biggest issue is that after one use the setting screw came out and the head falls off. I have not been able to fix it. And no matter how many times I put a screw in to hold the head on it comes out from the vibration and the head goes flying off which is very dangerous with string in it it and whirling at that speed. So I love the ease of the push start button but am disappointed that I still can’t use it.

This trimmer was better than I expected. All I cared about when I picked it out was that I could have the power of a gas trimmer without having to use a pull cord to start it. (About 15 years ago I had a gas trimmer from a major brand that I could not start and ended up with a shoulder injury that still acts up to this day.)My delivery came after work so it was perfect timing to charge up the battery overnight. As soon as it stoped raining I was anxious to get out there and use it. Easy to assemble and use. Basically you just push the little rubber button like five times to prime it, twist the choke lever to the choke position, push the start button and start trimming. I’m glad I read the directions first because I probably would not have realized the choke step. Once it starts it automatically sets the choke to run, so no messing with that. In the past once I had a trimmer started, I did not want to stope because I dreaded having to re-start it. Now, I could care less. I went for a glass of water and just another push of the button, I was good to go. Another feature that I doubted at first is the “anti-vibration” handle. I did my whole yard and did not have that tingly feeling in my hands or arms when I was done. I already borrowed it to my neighbor so he could try it out. I definitely recommend this trimmer.

Purchased the new trimmer a few weeks ago and wanted to give it several uses before I commented. First, let me say that it does what it promises. The push button starting system is outstanding. No more struggling with a rope start; simply prime, choke and press the start button. It started immediately out of the box and has done so every time since. The bump head lets me control the line feed and, although I have not yet replaced the line, the instructions in the manual are pretty simple and it should be easy. The 17” cutting width gets the job done quickly; prior to this trimmer, we had a 15” cutting width and this one seems to knock through the job in no time. If I had one recommendation, I would suggest that it include an accessory strap or, at least, offer one as a separate attachment with a place to connect it on the trimmer. After a while, at around 20 lbs., it starts to cause fatigue. Having said that, however, this is a dynamite trimmer and I highly recommend it.

Debris Guard is too fragile and broke easily. Debris guard broke the first time sat it on the floor. Need to order a new one but it is out of stock on Lawnmaster web site and it is not on Amazon web site. Without the debris guard, it is hard to use and it does not cut string automatically. Not sure when it will be in stock again.Another issue was with the string. It was tangled and will not come out automatically. I had to pull everything out and reload the string to resolve the problem. That tells me the quality control has room for improvement.Other than those two issues, this is a good trimmer.

My old trimmer gave out on me last year and I needed a new one, I looked on amazon and this one fit the bill, so I ordered it. When the trimmer arrived it came pretty much completely assembled, just needed to attach the guard; the nice thing is they supplied all of the tools to complete the assembly.Before I started the trimmer I did charge the battery completely and purchased a can of the TruFuel 40 to 1 mix. I put the battery and fuel mix in the trimmer and pumped the ball 5 or 6 time and pushed the start button it started right up.This trimmer is built well and is well balanced and has no vibration and the adjustable handle is a great touch.This trimmer has saved my arm; I love that it has the push button start!

The NoPULL, push button start is the best thing to happen to gas trimmers. Easy assembly and well balanced. Similar to my old gas trimmer when I first purchased in that it takes a couple attempts to start right out of the box. But once you get the trimmer started, it starts up with the push of a button every time. After using for a few weeks, I really got to appreciate the anti-vibration (and adjustable) handle for extended use. The rapid reload spool made it really convenient versus the traditional spools. Overall I love this trimmer, and will be looking at one of the NoPULL Blowers in the Fall for all those leaves.

love this tool, I'm retired from construction and my shoulder kills me when I try to start any pull start equipment ,I've been waiting for one of these push button machines for years. Thumbs up !

When looking for a new trimmer for season, I saw this Lawnmaster unit with a "No Pull" feature and thought what a great idea and it really is a tremendous feature. Especially in cold start, it's such a pain to startup those Pull Trimmers....not with this unit. The Lawnmaster is also incredibly light in weight, and very easy to control & use. All you have to do is hold a button down and it starts up. I see they also have a, "No Pull" Blower too, I have to get it....I can never go back to a Pull Trimmer again. Great idea and works great.....

This machine is quite heavy and they do not have a place to hook a shoulder strap.Gets very tiring after a while.Other than that it works very well so far.
