I recently had my gas oven stop lighting. I could see the igniter glowing, but would never get any flame. I couldn't smell any gas, so I didn't think the oven was even flipping over the valve. At first, I thought it was an issue with the valve. But after doing some research online, several people suggested that even if you can see the igniter glowing, it might not be enough to light. In fact, some appliances will actually read the amount of voltage being pulled from the igniter to determine if it is working correctly or not before opening the gas valve.So I decided I'd try to fix it myself and took a gamble on $20, which is **way** cheaper than paying a technician $200-$300 to come out and fix it. Boy am I glad I did! It was honestly one of the easiest repairs I've ever done! Took me maybe 20 minutes to disassemble the oven, cut the connectors off of the old igniter and splice them with the new igniter using the included ceramic caps, and reassemble everything. Once I did, the oven fired right up, no problems!Now I can't yet speak to the longevity of this igniter. But I can say that I use the oven just about every day or every other day, and it continues to work perfectly.

The hardest part was taking the back of my medal of stove off. The instal was super easy. Cut two wires and wire nut the new igniter back on. Zero issues

The brand new range only lasted a couple years before this part broke. I ordered an OEM ignitor which also lasted a couple years. This part is half the price and does the job. I really don't expect it to last longer than the OEM part but at half the price, I don't really care. I've ordered a spare one so I can do an emergency repair if needed.

I bought my first one and it lasted 12 months. The second one conked out today after 6 months. However I’m raising this review two stars because they have great customer service and refunded me for the purchase of a third. I have since installed it again and it’s working. Maybe it was my fault somehow. I dunno. These things are rather delicate.

This is a second purchase to replace the same igniter that failed within 10 months of installing it. I'm hoping I have better luck with this one. Installation is pretty straightforward and took less than 10 minutes. It worked great for 10 months and just stopped working.

Works as stated. Second one I have purchased and Installed. Lasted 1 1/2 years.

Not too hard to install…. Turned on the oven and it lit right up!
