The last French press you'll ever need!
First and foremost, allow me to addresses some previous reviews. 1.) Metallic smell: The entire unit is made of stainless steel, which just so happens to be a type of metal. There is no overpowering or uncharacteristic metalic smell. It smells simply like stainless steel. Unfortunately, metal cannot smell like anything other than, well... metal. In no way is the flavor or smell of the coffee effected.2.) The plunger does not reach all the way to the bottom: The plunger doesn't need to reach the bottom. It is simply to press the coffee grounds through the water to extract the oils and flavors. It stops within ΒΌ inch of the bottom. If you haven't hit coffee by then, you should have someone who knows how to brew coffee make it for you.3.) The plunger assembly is not stainless steel: Yes. It is. The entire press, plunger, filter and even the rod are stainless steel. I actually have magnets to test how ferrous steel is. None of them stick. It is absolutely stainless. For the record, vinegar soaks remove hard water staining and scaling from stainless steel. They are not a magical potion that makes dents and pitting smooth again. Now, my review- simply the last coffee pot you will ever buy. Holds heat, although letting the coffee sit in the grounds for very long increases bitterness by a TON. So don't use it as a thermos. The internal graduated markings are a huge help! The right amount of water every time! The plunger filter has a very tight weave which leaves the coffee virtually particulate free and clear. As for the taste, there are those who will argue glass is the only way to get the best flavor. However, both myself and science disagree. You'll never change their minds. I can tell you, this press makes the best tasting coffee I've ever brewed. And I make a damn good cup of coffee. Plus, it's just me and my 10 year old wildman of a son. The fewer items he can shatter, the better I sleep at night, so there's that.Cleanup is a snap. Rinse it and you're done. And jt's simple to disassemble for good scrubbing as well.I promise you, if you're a French pressed coffee freak, like me, you're nuts to pass this press up! Pull the trigger on this stainless French press! You'll never regret it!

Probably won't break this one
Coffee presses can be pretty snobby. I don't need anything fancy. You put hot water into the press to pre-warm it. Then you dump that out, add coarsely ground coffee beans, pour boiling water on top of that, put the top/plunger in, let it sit, push the plunger down and you have nice coffee.I have been through 4 presses in about as many years. The handle gets too wobbly, the screen assembly part is not tight enough, you get too many coffee grounds in your drink, the little screw gets loose, the darn carafe breaks. I knocked one off the dish rack, the handle came off another, the carafe came loose from it's stylishly useless holder. This is stainless steel. It does not get so hot that you would burn yourself if you touched the carafe. You can set it on the counter or table without it leaving a mark. The carafe is not going to break if you drop it (shattered glass is such a nuisance to pick up). It cleans very easily. The screen has not had little coffee grounds seep into my cup--granted I have only used it 5x. It makes enough so the 3 of us can have a cup or I can fill my 30oz Yeti and have a hefty mug still on my way to work.It was a good price. It cleans up well. The coffee tastes great. I would really have to work at breaking this one. Winner all around for me.

Great press pot!
Couldn't wait to try this! I don't write reviews unless I have used the product. Perfect press pot, I wouldn't drink coffee for a week until it arrived. My husband like the press pot but usually uses a cone. I guess I have become the snobby one lol!.. Easy to use, easy to clean, best of all it can't break, reason for buying this is because of the great price of $19.99 and no glass. We had to break 2 glass press pots for unknown reasons before looking for this stainless steel pot. The double lining will keep whatever coffee is left hot and the lid fits right over so no heat escaping. Love it!

Great and sturdy French Press
Very good quality and easy to use . I love the coffee made with this French press . I have one for 2 years and i just bought another one as a present for a friend . Easy to clean and maintain . You just need to find the right formula for how much coffee you use , and for how long you brew it to get to a taste you enjoy. The coffee needs to be grinded coarse and i brew it for 4.15 min . If you boiled the water let it cool down for few minutes before you pour over the coffee. Experiment how much coffee you need but a good starting point is a ratio to 1 parts if coffee to 15 parts of water ( 1 g of coffee to 15 g of water ) enjoy

Great French Press
I got this french press to replace the glass one I broke. It works very well, is a great size and seems very well made. If you've used a french press before, it works exactly as expected. If you've never used a french press, get one!The only disappointment I have is that it was advertised to come with an extra replacement filter and coffee scoop. It didn't. I was unable to reach the company through amazon to see if it was mislabeled or just forgotten. Would have been nice to get what was advertised.

The coffee maker is a great buy
It's good looking, it holds heat well, it's unbreakable, it has measurement markings on the inside to help you add the right amount of water when you aren't making a full pot. My only concern, and this hasn't happened yet, is that the weld holding the handle on seems like it might be vulnerable. But, as I say, this hasn't happened yet, and maybe never will,

Value. Quality. Buy it.
Great gift. Best value. Period. Full stop. Owned a bucket load of presses this is the best I have had and has the benefit of stainless and insulation....and they include a bonus filter screen.
