Department 56 "A Christmas Story" The Perfect Tree

I absolutely love "A Christmas Story" and this is a nice addition to my Dept 56 collection. The lights did not work initially when I pulled out the tab but after opening the battery compartment and moving them around it worked fine. May have been knocked around a little during shipping.

The item arrived safely within the time promised. The piece is in excellent condition and is perfect for grouping with my Dept 56 pond. The battery lasted throughout the holidays. Everyone who came to see my village commented on the lit "fire" in the firepit and the christmas lights that really lite up. It is a fun piece to add to my collection.

My wife has been collecting Dept 56 Christmas Village items for several years now, and other appropriate (non Dept 56) miniature decorations have accumulated as well. When all is set up, it is enchanting. This item was a very pleasant addition this year (2010) and we were nicely surprised over the fact that the lights and the burn barrel actually light up! She LOVES it! I highly reccomend it.

Great scene and good workmanship, but a few of the lights do not work.

Love the Movie Christmas Story and have several items from the collection. I can hardly wait to sit up the collection at Christmas. Very Happy!
