Edelbrock1840 Thunder Series AVS Carburetor Calibration Kit

Based on Edelbrocks Jet Reference Chart, I wanted to replace my stock 068 X 047 Metering rods with ..065 X .042 Metering Rods. Since this kits was suppose to include these, as well as others, which may be needed to fine tune my carburetor, I ordered this kit . It was received with the NON RETURNABLE SEAL intact.I broke the seal and opened the container. Per the item description, and the product label inside the container, this kit was suppose to contain five pairs, (a total of 10) metering rods. 1 pair each of rod numbers (id stamped on part) 6537, 6542, 6547, 7047, and 7052.What was actually in the sealed container was only 8 Metering Rods: 1, 6537, zero 6542's (this is the one that I wanted to start with), 3, 6547's; 1,7047's, and 3, 7052"s I double checked each of these number with the aid of 12 power magnification to ensure the numbers on each rod were correct.In that I received 3 6547's I installed a pair of these instead, they are near in size and I hope these will work for me.I did receive all of the listed springs, and jets.I have ordered and used Edelbrock parts for decades and have been overall satisfied. It is likely this is not a common error, but wanted to bring it to everyone's attention hoping this does not happen to someone else.UPDATE: 5-11-2017. Amazon has agreed to replace this item at no cost to me. Thanks This is one of the main reasons I shop AmazonUPDATE 5-15-2017 The replacement kit sent to me at no charge arrived today. Again, suppose to have 5 pair of metering rods, only received 4 pair. Video taken of the the kit with the seal intact. This kit is clear plastic, so it was easy to look before breaking the seal and see that only 8 metering rods are in the kit. Checking the part numbers, I find this time I am only missing the pair .065 X .042, ID stamped on the part 6542. Unfortunately, the #6542 is the one missing from the first kit, missing from this kit, and is the first choice on the Reference Choice. Guess if I want these rods, I will order separate.NOT HAPPY.Gaylon Bailey

After reading the reviews I had concerns of an incomplete kit. I took video of me opening the seal and taking inventory. There were only 4 sets of metering rods. I called Edelbrock and the told me that one of the metering rods had been discontinued. Other than that, the kit was complete. Edelbrock should have reflected in the inventory sheet that those rods were no longer a part of the kit. Rods #1416, (0.065x0.047) is th rods you will not receive. 3 stars for poor packaging, and not updating their inventory list. Everything else in the kit is at it should be

MISSING PARTS, Somebody took parts from the kit and photocopied the inventory list deleting that part number and then glued the new list ontop of the original package content paper. Took a lot of effort for a $13 part! Now it is one of the parts I need and it is not there. Pictured on the left side bottom should be 5 sets of rods, the photocopy lists only 4 sets!I need to reorder and hopefully get a complete kit.

It is not easy to find this calibration Kit for a good price. On amazon I could find it and ordered it. So it took only two weeks and I got it in Germany. Short time. The kit is exactly in accordance to the description and very usefull.This seller is very recommandable for Edelbrock owners.
